The house and cottage are in the suburb of Karlshorst. Within 5-10 minutes by bicycle from the house one can reach the train station and ride the S-Bahn / train to the city centre (Alexanderplatz or Friedrichstraße) within ~ 15 minutes and the Hauptbahnhof within ~25 minutes.
All around the residential area in Karlshorst in fact just behind the house, is a forest wherin one can walk the dog go for jogs, etc. There are cafés, pubs, restaurants and shops. All within 5 - 10 minutes from the house. Nearby there are sport halls, e.g. tennis, swimming etc. About 10 minutes by car/ train from the house is the Spree river, Pier Treptow, and Friedrichsfelde Castle. There is also the Müggelsee within 15 minutes by the S-Bahn, where depending upon the time of the year, one can sail, go for bike ride, and when frozen, ice-skate on the lake.
We recommend you make use of a bicycle to get around the local area - if you happen to have none, we have about 7 bikes at hand to hire. The cottage and garden have been recently completly renovated.
The holiday house is fully furnished, with modern bathroom and lovely kitchen. Central heating and internet over WLAN.
There is a well-tended shared garden with BBQ seating area.

Free car parking is also available.
The hosts are very friendly and love to chat with
guests.
The landlady offers German lessons to those are interested.
For a small amount, breakfast and half-pension meals offered -
execellent german cuisine.

The price of the holiday house depends on the season. During Christmas/ New Year - EUR 100/day and otherwise EUR 50 - 80/ day. This is a fixed sum which can be divided among the tenants.
Facilities (water, gas, electrical energy) are paid seperate and are calculated based upon usage.
