Nice 9 m2 room in a 50 m2 flat in Tempelhof, 2 minutes from metro station Westphalweg (U6), next to Kreuzberg and Tempelhofer Feld (former Airport Tempelhof). In the other room lives a young chilean student on "working holidays".
The kitchen is equiped with washing-machine and combi-refrigerator, microwaves oven and water boiler. The bathroom with window has a bathtube. The floor is wooden and renewed. Thermic windows, isolated fassade, sun in the morning.
There is a contract and anmeldung (registration) IS possible.
Confortable high-bed made in massive wood. Beneath the bed, big 2-door wardrobe and desk.
The 300 EUR/month include all house related costs. Extra you need to pay electricity and gas. Each month you and/or your flatmate will send a picture of the electricity and gas counters and you will pay exactly what you used, bridging so to your benefit the surrealistic german billing system and its stupid long-term estimations. Your gas, electricity and internet costs should be in average 30-45 monthly, less in summer, more in winter.
The security deposit equals 350 EUR. It is structured in two parts, 300 as a conventional deposit (it will be paid back when you leave the room. If there is no need for reparations or cleanings caused by you). The other 50 are intended as anticipated payment for the utility costs for the last month, and you will get back the remaining part of it (e.g. if electricity, gas and internet of your last month are 35, you get back 15).
The whole deposit and the rent of the first month have to be paid when you sign the contract and take the keys. Payments preferred by bank transfer. If you prefer to pay in cash, to each payment in cash an extra fee of 10 euros will apply.
Tempelhof, south Ulsteinhaus, 2 minutes by foot from metro station Westphalweg of line U6 or from the bus to Steglitz/Dahlem.
Direct metro connection to the Humboldt University (about 15, minutes, Friedrichstraße), Kreuzberg (Mehringdamm/Hallesches Tor, about 10 minutes) and Wedding (about 20 minutes).
About 30 minutes metro and S-Bahn to the campus Adlershof (HU), 25 minutes by bus to the campus Dahlem (FU), to both of them only 1 change.
About 25 minutes metro to Zoologischer Garten (TU) with 1 or 2 changes, depending on the combination.
15 minutes by foot to Tempelhofer Feld (former airport Tempelhof). 10 minutes by metro to Mehringdamm (Kreuzberg), 5 minutes by foot to the park Volkspark Mariendorf.
Shopping: Netto, Rossmann, Reichelt, farmacies, fruits and vegetables, 1-Euro shops, Karstadt, shopping mall Tempelhofer Hafen...
In the other room will live a young student from Chile on "working holidays".
