Hello there,
I am renting out a room in my flat in the South of Tempelhof. It is 15sqm with laminate flooring and is of rectangular shape.
It can be part-furnished if required (shelves, etc..) but I can also move the furniture out. That's quite flexible. Living room, Kitchen and bathroom are fully furnished. Unless you do have a dishwasher, that would be a nice addition!
Your room is opposite the kitchen, which is a nice size (comparing to many other flats in Berlin ;)) and there is a spacious living room and a small balcony too.
The room goes out to the high street, looking towards the west, but I can ensure you that the noise is minimal when the windows are shut, as my room goes out to Mariendorfer Damm too.
Please feel free to send me a message/an email if you have any questions about the room.
The flat is situated right above Westphalweg Station which connects to Tempelhof, Mehringdamm, Friedrichstraße and all the way to Wedding via the U6. The night bus, for worst case situations, is right there too. It takes roughly half an hour to get into Kreuzberg, 40 minutes to Prenzlauer Berg.
There is a post office pretty much opposite the house and an Edeka about 2 minutes walk away. Netto is 3-4 minutes and Tempelhofer Hafen Shopping centre is less that 10 minutes walking distance. Plenty of other shops and doctors etc are around too.
Even though situated at a highstreet, the area itself is pretty quiet. There's a few nice parks around and the canal which is pretty much perfect for a nice morning or afternoon run.
Parking is somewhat of an issue, as the side streets are always busy and your not allowed to park at Mariendorfer Damm. Though I always manage to find a parking spot within a couple of minutes walking distance from the flat.
I work in hospitality, for a new local brewery, am therefore working crazy schedules some times and travel quite a bit. Besides that I am also studying economic science. We might go a week without seeing each other because of my schedule, or I might hide away in my room to try and catch up on some sleep or am studying. But obviously I would still love for you to be outgoing and friendly. Cleanliness is pretty important, though I am not crazy on that myself - the main thing is to share the cleaning tasks so one doesn't end up doing everything.
Working for a brewery, I do love craft beer and the values that go hand in hand with that when it comes to food, etc. I like to cook, I read a lot and, of course, to relax I do like to binge-watch Netflix sometimes.
There is another flatmate too - he's a needy little fluffy cat of three and a half years. So you would have to be cat friendly. But do not worry, as cats do, he sleeps for most of the day.
Smoking is allowed on the balcony. I do smoke myself but prefer to keep it outside the flat to avoid the smell.
Feel free to send me an email or drop me a text anytime. It is difficult to ensure that I will be able to answer my phone while at work. Emails and text I will answer as soon as i get the time, so don't worry. There will be a reply as soon as possible.
I don not want to organise any mass viewings so we can set up individual dates, preferably between midday and 3pm on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th or all day on Wednesday 26th October.
The moving in date is flexible, as the room is empty at the moment. If we hit it of straight away, you can move in quickly but I guess 1st November is the easiest option.
If you have any questions about the room, the flat, or anything else (though I might not be able to answere all of lifes questions), please drop me a line.
