The apartment is fully furnished. We bought the house in 2015 and are currently adding this and that. Some minor details might be different from what you see in the pictures. It currently has a real Persian carpet, a pretty new and comfy couch, and a very nice antique cabinet in the living-room, as you can see on the pictures.
The apartment can nicely accommodate two people, but would most probably not be suitable for a flat-share, since it has only one bedroom.
The rent includes heating, electricity and internet via LAN1-access point (check out http://www.lan1.de).
WE CHARGE EXTRA 40€ PER MONTH FOR THE SECOND PERSON.
We pay the deposit (or part of it) back the day that you move out, since we don't have to wait for the electricity bill.
We try to keep our flats fully equipped with everything tenants usually need, like bed sheets, pots, dishes, cutlery, high quality towels, hair-dryers, vacuum cleaner, water kettle, iron and many more things, without cluttering the place too much. Also, we try to create a nice ambiance, mostly by decorating the walls with (mostly original) paintings. All flats have at least one original hand-crafted (mostly Persian) rug and antique lamps. Some flats have colorful walls.
The garden has become pretty nice these last years. There is also a barbecue and a wooden hut for parties, that you can use.
We promise to reply to all emails, but can not guarantee to be reachable on phone all the time.
This apartment lies in three minutes walking distance from the main entrance of the central Duisburg train station, but in a calm street. The Kant-parc with its two museums is right at the corner and there is the DKM museum in the Güntherstraße as well.
The pedestrian shopping street and the Forum-mall are a five minutes walk away. Everything is very close by, even two highways are around the corner.
If you want to get an impression of the neighborhood, we recommend checking it on google streetview or come and take a stroll around the block, the museum and the nearby parc.
We are pretty experienced wg-gesucht and airbnb-hosts and have accommodated travelers and people who came to Duisburg for a few weeks or months over four years now and have just bought this property which we wish to offer to international guests staying for a limited period.
I speak German, French, English, Dutch and Spanish and my partner speaks English, Hindi and Marathi. So feel free to contact us in these languages.
