PhD student looking for a place along nr 1 tram

I'm Polish, 27, I've moved in to Cologne 5 months ago, however I don't speak German and it was very hard for me to find something permanent, resulting in temporary subletting that ends on 15th February.
I'm working as a PhD student in biotechnology, we're trying to culture heart tissue from stem cells, extremely interesting, but I promise you, I'm not a crazy nerd! I'm looking for a shared flat to meet new people, but also to get more info about German culture and Cologne, where to go, what to eat, drink, see and listen. I always found my flatmates as the best source.
I like to chat about anything over the beer / white wine / coffee. 90s cheesy hits are my guilty pleasure. I also love to cook and try new recipes (and of course hear "omg, this is delicious!" :P ). I'm very social, I like to go out to theaters, cinemas, bars, galleries but always with my friends. If I'm alone I just stay home, with my coffee, coziest blanket and Netflix. Though probably my new year resolution will be switching Netflix to books.
I would be interested in the flat that:
1. is occupied by people that do not hide forever in their rooms
2. is along nr 1 tram
3. has a bigger room, at least 20m2
4. has a nice kitchen, but it would be an extra plus.
