Beautiful and bright room in a fully equipped apartment - The room is non furnished - except by a custom made cupboard. Sun comes in in the morning
Wir bieten ein schönes ca 16qm großes Zimmer (anders als auf den Fotos, bis auf ein praktisches Regal Marke Eigenbau um die Tür herum, mittlerweile ohne Möbel) in unserer komplett ausgestatteten WG in Moabit an. Es ist zur Straße ausgerichtet und die Sonne scheint Vormittags rein.
We live in the heart of the Stephankiez in Moabit, you walk 5 min to the U9, 10 min to the Ring and in the summertime it’s only 10-15 bike minutes til the Plötzensee.
Beside the good connection to the city, Moabit also has some nice parks, a lot of riversides as it’s surrounded by water, nice cafes, bars and restaurants, and a friendly and open-heart and -minded neighborhood.
Die Wohung befindet sich im Moabiter Stephankiez, und ist super an die Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel angebunden.
Zur U9 läuft man zirka 3 minuten, zur Ringbahn 10, und es gibt zahlreiche Busverbindungen.
Ein Edeka ist quasi direkt vor der Tür, in der Nähe es nette Restaurants, Cafés und Bars.
Nahegelegene Parks und Grünflächen sind der Kleine und der Große Tiergarten und die Rehberge. Die moabiter Insel ist von der Spree und dem Spreekanal umrundet, dort gibt es auch schöne Ufer zum ausspannen.
Das Haus erfreut sich seit einiger Zeit einer ziemlich aktiven und angenehmen Atmosphäre der Gemeinsamkeit und entspannten sowie hilfsbereiten Nachbarschaft.

We are Erna and Jakob, befriended parents of four year old Egon.
We live in a beautiful and huge apartment in Moabit, and now that our last flatmate moved out, the room is waiting to be filled with new laughter, ideas, snores and someone truly feeling at home.
Located on the 5th floor of the front house of the building, our apartment is luminous and built with the spacious generosity of the Berliner Altbau. Our big shared living room is mostly used as a playground by Egon and by Erna to practice the piano. Sometimes we host dinners or parties here, sometimes you can find Jakob napping on one of the couches.
Most of the time, we end up hanging out in the cosiness of our kitchen. We have a big bathroom with a tub and a shower, and one of the smallest WC we know in case the bath gets busy...
As plant lovers, many of them coexist with us. Jakob's green hand and years of care have built up a beautiful ecosystem in our home.
Living with a small child has brought a lot more routine in our life than we had before. Our days are marked by the rhythm of daycare and our jobs. We both spend some weekdays in homeoffice although they look quite different - this means accordion or singing practice for Erna (not always tho), for Jakob it’s more emails and calls. We usually eat dinner early so we can get Egon to bed by 20:00ish.
Life is an act of balance between family life and social life. Jakob and I met 10 years ago at a festival - culture, music and nightlife are still important to us even if it’s taken on another form nowadays. As much as we enjoy being social, we all appreciate having time to ourselves. We value our home as a space that can hold the duality of being vibrant and open, and a peaceful place to land and recharge our batteries at the same time.
Our day to day life is quite full and more or less structured. It’s important for us to stay connected to each other through the daily chaos. We found an easy way to do so by having a meal or drink together, chatting a little to keep us updated on what's going on in our lives.
As a family, community and solidarity are our core values. We’re more into sharing groceries than having separated areas in the fridge, though we’re open to any solution according to all of our needs. We are getting delicious organic veggies from local farmers, sometimes it’s a lot and we need help eating them up !
For the household chores we are using an app to help us view the tasks and rotation. We’re far from being perfectionists, still we value a base level of cleanliness and organization in our shared rooms (some of us are still learning that sic playground in the livingroom...)
There was a time where we were pursuing the ideal of living in a plastic and toxin free household, becoming parents redirected our focus on practicability. Still we’re trying to reduce our waste and to at least use natural cleaning agents.
