Schön, dass Sie da sind

Hallo liebe Wg-Suchenden,
Dear potential flatmate,
We`ve got a beautiful room, around 20 square meters, to offer in our flat at Schönhauser Allee up from the 1st of June.
The room lies in the centre of our flat, square formed, has to windows with a light view, direction west, into the courtyard (honestly, not the most beautiful one but tolerable :). Except of the church‘s bells of the close Gethsemane church it is quite quiet.
The flat is located in the back house, second line, so not directly on the street, in the 4th floor without an elevator in a classic Berlin‘s 19 century house. All of our four rooms access into a long floor, a big fully equipped kitchen where we are working on right now little by little, a bathroom with a shower as well as a bathtub. Moreover we have two small chambers which really need to get cleared up by us soon :). And last but not least an access to the roof top. The best discovery of the year so far;)!
A few minutes walking you will find the subway, tram and the S-trains (circle line) of Schönhauser Allee.
A variety of shops, supermarkets, cafés, bars and restaurants as well as the Mauerparc are right next door in the lively neighbourhood. So the location is great if you like the typical character of Prenzlauer Berg.
And now the most important: Who would live there with you?
First of all there is 29-year-old Simone. She lives in this apartment for the longest time. After graduating in clinic social work, she is now doing her education program in order to become a youth therapist. She is doing her work for children with all her heart but also an early-bird schedule for her hospital shifts. Therefore along other reasons we care about quiet evenings during the week most of the time. Simone has a great passion for outdoor sports like beach volleyball and surfing. All in all she is a very active and positive, warm-hearted character which whom you can have a lot of fun with.
Secondly, there is Alina, 31 years old. She moved in last year and we were so happy finding her because of the importance we share for a cosy and beautiful home. Alina brought a lot of welcoming feelings though her decoration and emotional awareness into the house. She is a very lovely and sensitive person, right now finishing her master degree in peace and conflict management while working for an international refugee organisation. Before she was travelling and working in the regions of the Middle East. Alina is enjoying the peace of the apartment as well as the various cultural life of Berlin.
Furthermore there is myself, Lea. I am 31 years old and political scientist as well with a different focus on sustainability and environmental politics. Currently I am working on the reception of the Academy of Arts searching for a job with a good mixture of nature, human contact and office life. I just start to orientate into the direction of education and animal protection work. Like Alina, I am a vegetarian and I love to cook. In the same manner like doing excursions into the nature and discovering by travels I appreciate the apartment as a quiet and peaceful home. I would consider myself as a quiet but social person with an open ear and heart for conversations on the kitchen table.
Finally we consider us as a community based on openness and friendship that likes spontaneous Sunday`s breakfasts or dinners with a glass of wine, beer, movies or roof-top evenings together. Nevertheless, of course, every person has her one social life and time for herself. Especially during the week and with different timetables there is often not much time for socialising together. To keep the shared apartment working well it is even more important for us to take care of each other`s needs like quietness as well as a common sense for responsibilities and clearness, an honest exchange and a social togetherness.
Nevertheless the best way to find out if we`ve got a match is to get to know each other. So if you think you could feel good with us and our lifestyle send us a message about you. Due to corona virus we will start with online dates and later on real life meetings!
We are looking forward to get to know you!
Currently we bought a new washing maschine, some lamps and other stuff. The person who is now moving out would appreaciate to get a refund of his investements that is around 80 Euros.
Probadly at the end of the year we will get a new contract which requieres the common documents for an apartement application and allows an offical registration then.
