Looking for preferably a female flatmate (from 28 up) from June 2024.
The room (22 m2 + 2 m2 balcony) has wooden floors, high quality Danish bed, arm chair and some other optional items. The flat is 69 m2 and equipped with high quality washing machine, hoover, gas stove for cooking, printer, etc. You would share the flat most of the time in two. Anmeldung is no problem.
Your flatmate will be Sadaf (34f) from Iran, a PhD in Chemistry, working in a startup. She is cheerful, friendly and respectful.
As for myself - I am the owner of the place, a seasoned youthful traveler (49f), dividing my time between Berlin and Italy. Most of the time I will be away, but I keep a small room in the flat.
Please get back to me if you consider yourself a mature, curious, respectful person who can also do simple things, like switching off the light, locking the apartment door, closing windows, cleaning after yourself, bringing the attitude of openness for communication, empathy and cooperation.

I'm Lithuanuan, (49) studied in Germany social sciences, lived and in many other places of the world for a long time (Palestine, Georgia, Brazil). I divide my time between Berlin and Italy. During the summer season (6-7 months) I'm gone for a project in Italy.
The other flatmate, as mentioned before, is Sadaf (f 34), PhD in Chemistry, working in a startup.
We expect the person to engage is some balance of socialising with everybody and having own time. We do not plan our times together, it just happens in the kitchen. That is why we would like you to eat your meals in the kitchen, since it is the place where we meet.
The place is clean and we clean it in a rotating manner once a week.
It would be really cool if you would like to share a meal once in a while. Does not have to be all the time, but you should bring attitude of wanting to share and receive in return. Also I expect that you have genuine interest in other people and want to commit a bit of time for this. This is not AirBnB or hotel, so we expect you to be pro-active, bring some interest into what we are doing and we will want to know also how are you and what you do. Some good balance with inclination to group oriented than individualistic. Please add "got it" in the subject line, then we will know you read so far.
We prefer to heat not more than 20 C, because the air gets too dry. Best temperature for us is maybe 19. If you think it will be too cold for you, the rooms has also an old heating unit (Kachelofen) that can be used to increase the temperature, and this heat is really pleasant.
We speak here mostly German, Spanish, English, French.
If you are curious, and is it ok for you:
- to switch off lights when you leave the house
- to close doors quietly
- to bring out the rubbish whenever you see it is full
- to be pro-active in the communication of the flat
- to ask for feedback what can be improved
- to be hospitable for people who might visit the house
- to offer a meal or a drink once in a while
- to eat in the kitchen (and not in your room)
- not use my towel and toothbrush cup, drop us a line!
