I'm renting out my big beautiful room in The Castle: a wonderful 6-person WG in Tempelhof, in the Kaiserin Augusta Strasse, close to the U6 station with the same name.
THE ROOM
The room is very big. It's around 35 square meters and feels more like an apartment. It's set up like one gigantic chill-out space, and even has a fireplace. It's on the basement level, so the natural daylights comes from 2 windows in the ceiling and one regular window. I spent a lot of time on working out the lighting, and thanks to the LED panels it actually feels like there's a lot of daylight. There's a gigantic comfy bed, lots of nice decoration and a good sound system.
THE FLAT
The flat as a whole is very spacious: we have 3 floors, a garden, a big living room/kitchen for communal use as well as a fireplace. The kitchen and living room are self-built and have lots of character. There are 2 bathrooms. One with an amazing shower and one with a bathtub (and many candles). Around the house are many parks, grocery options, as well as a pharmacy, hospital and bakeries. There are good connections into town and Tempelhofer Feld is just minutes by bike away.
WG CULTURE
We're five people from five countries - mixed genders and LGBTQIA friendly. We live together as friends and are invested in each other’s lives. There's a balanced mix between communal living and personal space. Between consciousness and laughter. Besides moments where we’re by ourselves, we enjoy chatting in the kitchen while cooking together, occasional dancing in the living room, going to the park, gathering on the full moon for some ritual and meditation, and lately: boardgames.
