the room to be rented out is 14 sq mts. As you can see from the photos, the room is stated as 14 sq mts (due to renting norms regarding to slanted ceiling) but is actually slightly the larger. The room has large windows facing East and is quite bright. The kitchen and the bathroom are fully furnished. The kitchen has all that you would want - oven, dishwasher, a massive refrigerator, and a washing machine. The bathroom has a bathtub as well. The neighbors as well as I, are pretty quiet so the room is calm throughout the day. Also, there is space in the basement where you can keep your bicycle. There is some furniture that the flatmate wants to leave behind for €100. If you don't want it I can pay for it and we can dispose it off over Ebay etc..

Hello flat hunters,
since my flatmate has to move, I'm looking for a new flatmate from July 17. I moved to Cologne from Mumbai, India, almost seven years ago. Until recently I was working as a mathematics and statistics lecturer at a business school in Cologne. I just completed my second master's in Finance from Frankfurt and applying for jobs in the Dusseldorf region.
Besides that, I am also preparing for professional accreditation exam in October. So, I'm looking for a flatmate who prefers relaxed, stress-free, peaceful WG. No loud noises, frequent stayover friends and parties etc. The flat is to be kept clean, but I'm not anal about it. I cook often, usually Indian (https://www.instagram.com/onkar.cgn.de/) or Italian cuisines and I'm more than willing to cook and dine together on occasion. I eat vegetarian food most of the days and seafood on occasion. I can understand German and speak a bit as well, but I would prefer a flatmate who is comfortable conversing in English (international students are welcome as are Germans who want to improve their English). In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends most of whom live in Bonn and Frankfurt. Other times I go to the gym or the swimming pool. It doesn't have to be a Zweck-WG but I also need my personal space. I am looking for a flatmate who is looking for something similar.
Previously I have lived in this apartment with German, Japanese as well as Spanish flatmate over the period of last four years. My current flatmate is a Nigerian girl who just finished her internship at Bayer and is moving back to her university town. Please note, students who don't have a job have to furnish a Burgershaft -Schufaauskunft etc. Photos are slightly older from the previous flatmate, but you can get an idea about the layout. Please write me an email or send a message on WhatsApp ----/------- with a short description of yourself/what you do/your expectations form the WG and when you can visit the flat.
I will most probably move out of the flat by the end of the year. You will have the option to pick your new flatmate as well as the option to take over my room which is a bit larger 18 sq. mts. We have separate contracts with the landlord, so it is will be relatively easy.
