The apartment was built in 2013 in the back yard of an up-market block of apartments on the revered Engeldamm. Its finish is very high quality luxury style; it is built as a maisonette with a large kitchen space upstairs, and large living/sleeping space downstairs, totalling 50m2.
Upstairs on the entrance level you will find the large kitchen/Dining area fitted with all necessary utensils and applications and a small balcony. The bathroom is also situated on this floor, with a powerful shower, toilet and sink.
Downstairs is the living and sleeping space. At the bottom of the stairs you are greeted with three floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows, which take you out onto a huge private terrace. There is a comfortable sofa, which can also be used as a double bed for sleeping, and an extremely comfortable double bed. Everything you need can be found; a large wardrobe to hang clothes, and a big chest of drawers for extra storage space.
The flat can sleep up to four people (2 couples) very comfortably.
The apartment is situated in one of the best locations in Berlin. It is on the border of Kreuzberg and Mitte with Ostbahnhof, Kottbussor Tor, Heinrich-Heine-Strasse, Görlitzer and Schlesisches Tor are all within 10 minutes walk away. The street is very quiet, with a park right outside and Spätkaufs, restaurants, bars and supermarkets very close by. It has the luxury of being so close to everything you need coupled with a wonderful quietness that you would struggle to find anywhere else in Berlin.
The beautiful Engelbecken lake lies at the end of the street and other famous sites like the East Side Gallery are nearby. The famous Museum Island, Alexanderplatz and Checkpoint Charlie are all very accessible.
Ostbahnhof S-Bahn is 5 minutes walk away.
The closest U-Bahn stations are Kottbussor Tor (U8, U1), Görlitzer U-Bahn (U1), Schlesisches Tor (U1), Heinrich-Heine-Strasse (U8). They are all within 10-15 minutes walk from the flat.
The Airport Express train from Berlin Schönefeld Airport goes directly from the Airport to Ostbahnhof twice every hour and takes around 22 minutes.
Travel from Tegel Airport is also easy, with regular bus services that travel to Alexanderplatz, which is two stations away from Heinrich-Heine-Strasse (U-Bahn) and two stations away from Ostbahnhof (S-Bahn).
