Bei uns in der WG wird ein Zimmer frei und wir suchen eine nette Person ab Anfang August bis Ende Januer/Anfang Februar. Die Wohnung ist in einer sehr guten Lage, gut verbunden mit den Öffis (Strassenbahn und U-Bahn in der Nähe). Es ist eine sehr ruhige Wohnung mit Fenstern zum Hof (oder/und zum Balkon), also man kann auf jeden Fall entspannen. Wir teilen uns die Küche, Bad, Toilette und Balkon, dazu gibt es auch ein kleines Abstellkammerl (was gerade noch bissl chaotisch aussieht, aber gerade umgebaut wird, das gleiche zum Balkon :) ). Dein potenzielles Zimmer wäre klein aber fein, ca 11qm und je nach Wunsch kann ein Kasten und ein kleines Sofa vom Vormieter übernommen werden. Über das Fenster hast du theoretisch die Möglichkeit schnell auf den Balkon zu kommen.
Die Küche hat den typischen WG-Charme und ist ausgestattet mit einem eher älteren Gasherd, allem was man zum kochen braucht und einer sehr gemütlichen Couch zum Chillen.
Das Bad ist sehr geräumig und hat eine Badewanne. Waschmaschine und Trockner befinden sich in einem gemeinsamen Waschraum im Erdgeschoss, genauso wie ein Fahrradabstellraum.

We have a vacant room in our flat-share and are looking for a nice person from the beginning of August until the end of January/beginning of February. The flat is in a very good location, well connected with public transport (tram and underground nearby). It is a very quiet flat with windows to the courtyard (or/and to the balcony), so you can definitely relax. We share the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and balcony, and there is also a small storage room (which looks a bit chaotic at the moment, but is currently being rebuilt, the same with the balcony :) ). Your potential room would be small but nice, about 11 sqm and if you wish you can take over a wardrobe and a small sofa from the previous tenant. The window theoretically gives you quick access to the balcony.
The kitchen has the typical WG charm and is equipped with a rather old gas cooker, everything you need for cooking and a very comfortable couch for chilling.
The bathroom is very spacious and has a bathtub. Washing machine and dryer are in a shared laundry room on the ground floor, as is a bicycle storage room.
Die Lage der Wohnung ist besonders gut! Man hat sehr vielfältige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im direkten Umfeld (alle Supermärkte/Discounter sowie den Brunnenmarkt), Bars am Yppenplatz oder auf der Ottakringerstr. sowie den Gürtel zum feiern. Für einige Studierende wird die Wohnung sehr praktisch sein, da der Uni-Campus, die Hauptuni und viele andere Institute sehr nahe sind.

The location of the flat is particularly good! There are many shopping possibilities in the direct vicinity (all supermarkets/discounters as well as the Brunnenmarkt), bars at Yppenplatz or on Ottakringerstr. as well as the Gürtel to party. For some students, the flat will be very convenient, as the university campus, the main university and many other institutes are very close.
Die WG besteht aus Steffi und Stephan. Steffi arbeitet Vollzeit und ist sehr gerne unterwegs und ich, Stephan, studiere Lehramt und bin die nächsten zwei Semester damit beschäftigt, also werde mehr in der Wohnung rumhängen und viel in meinem Zimmer lesen (Geschichte Studium halt haha).
Wir sind offene Menschen und freuen uns auf neue nette Begegnungen; Rassismus und Sexismus haben in unserer WG nichts verloren.
Zum WG-Leben:
Stephan (28): Ich koche gerne und scharf, bin voll begeistert von Musik (also spiele selber ein paar Instrumente), bin politisch organisiert, leidenschaftlicher Gärtner auf dem Balkon, werde bald Lehrer und komme aus Guatemala.
Steffi (27): Arbeitet Vollzeit, kocht bissl weniger leidenschaftlich, übt ab und zu am DJ-Pult und ist sehr gerne unterwegs am WE mit dem Fahrrad.
Wir sind beide aber nicht mehr so wild unterwegs wie früher und unter der Woche schätzen wir auch die Ruhe.
The flat share consists of Steffi and Stephan.
Steffi works full time and loves to be on the road and I, Stephan, am studying to be a teacher and will be busy with that for the next two semesters, so will be hanging out more in the flat and reading a lot in my room (history studies just haha).
We are open-minded people and look forward to meeting new nice people; racism and sexism have no place in our shared flat.
About life in the flat-sharing community:
Stephan (28): I like cooking and spicy food, I'm really enthusiastic about music (so I play a few instruments myself), I'm politically organised, passionate about gardening on the balcony, I'm going to be a teacher soon and I'm from Guatemala.
Steffi (27): Works full time, cooks a bit less passionately, practices at the DJ booth from time to time and loves to go out on her bike on the weekends.
However, we are both not as wild as we used to be and during the week we also appreciate the peace and quiet.
Die kalte Miete macht 280 Euro aus, dazu kommen 11,7 Euro Internet und 30,5 Euro Strom und Gas.
Also insgesamt 322,2 Euro monatlich.
Eine sehr wichtige Info wäre noch notwendig: Wir sind sehr sparsam im Winter mit der Heizung. Die Begründung ist vor allem weil die Heizung zu viel Gas verschwendet (bzw. die Temperatur in der Wohnung nicht optimal konstant bleibt) und am Ende die Kosten sehr stark steigen. Das bedeutet für dich nur, dass du im Winter mit Jacke in der Wohnung chillen wirst.
Ich persönlich bevorzuge Menschen, die mit Marx, Engels und Lenin was anfangen können :)

The monthly rent is 280 euros for the room, plus 11.7 euros for the internet and 30.5 euros for electricity and gas.
That's a total of 322.2 euros per month.
One very important piece of information is still necessary: We are very cost-saving with the heating in winter. The reason is mainly because the heating wastes too much gas ( or rather the temperature in the flat does not remain constant in an optimal way) and in the end the costs rise very much. That just means you'll be chilling in the flat in winter with a jacket on.
Personally, I prefer people who can relate to Marx, Engels and Lenin :)
