Young pro in the middle of a relocation

Hello Berlin!

My name's Jacob and I'm looking for an English-capabable landlord to rent a small place to a young professional as he transitions from the US to Berlin. I have an offer from an exciting tech company in Berlin, and I'm ready to get started, I just need a place to start my new life and navigate the German onboarding process. I'm looking for a place of my own, so I can just to get started for about a month, but I would be willing to consider a longer term solution if it's a great fit. I don't have a German phone number yet, and I'm coming from the US, so I'm looking for someone who is willing to work with me.

Some things about me, I love bicycling, so you'll often see me riding to work or biking just for fun. I'm also a musician, I love American traditional music and play the guitar and five string banjo. I also love working on software and open source projects, so I'll likely be nose down on my laptop many nights, too.

I'm looking for a place that is lively, close to work, but where I can have some personal space without bothering others. Large windows and hardwood/tile floors are a plus, as is a fully functional kitchen (I'm a whiz in the kitchen). Finally being somewhat (viable from public transport) close to work is a must.
