I'll be out of Berlin for 1 month. This is probably the favourite room I ever had.
There's the solid, king sized bed with a daaamn comfy leesa mattress, space to dance around on the lovely parquet floor. It feels light and bright even on cloudy days and in the evening the bedside lamp and fairy lights create a nice vibe.
Includes: desk, some closet space, crappy acoustic guitar.
This is central, in the heart of the Kottbusser Tor nightlife. Really close to the u-bahn but on a cul-de-sac so not much traffic noise. When I walk out the front door I feel really lucky to live in a place where people from all over Berlin go to meet and get (the best) coffee, good food, see a film at the Babylon or cocktails. It has that very Berlin blend of scuzzy and smooth, evidenced by the regular tv crews, fashion shoots and tour groups.
I've lived here over 2 years and not getting tired.
Comes packaged with 3 friendly humans.
Torben, the most flamboyant straight man, creator of outdoor music quiz/karaoke parties and trash tv tuesdays.
Flavia, the bouncy Italian creator of amazing parmigianas. Volunteer, hustler, masters student.
Marie, the gentle, funny German creator of good ideas for things for us to do in the evenings. Good at finding ways to avoid writing her masters thesis.
Generally, we're on the fun oriented, chilled out side.
Smoking is ok beside the windows of shared spaces.
Everyone speaks good English, Flavia understands quite a lot of German and the two Germans understand *and* speak German.
Rest of the place includes a big lounge, tv and dining table to gather around. Nice for having friends over.
Kitchen has all the basics, espresso machine including the most essential: ice dispenser.
