Hello! Alex, 34, software engineer in tech. I'm a long-time Berliner who's trying to become a better cook and likes to work out.
Length of stay is generally flexible. I could do shorter or longer.
Our rooms are on opposite sides of a 135sqm apartment, so there is relative privacy. It comes furnished with the basics and has a window facing east. It has direct access to one of the terraces facing the back yard (also facing east- great for a morning coffee).
Ideally, I'd have professional cleaning biweekly because it lets me focus my attention elsewhere. We can discuss this. Contents insurance would also be nice to have but not strictly necessary; we can discuss this too. There will also be a deposit that will depend on the length of stay, and that will be settled immediately when you move out.
I generally don't prefer living with couples.
Reuterkiez. According to Google Maps:
~5 min walking distance to U Rathaus Neukolln (U7)
~10 min to U Hermannplatz (U7/U8)
The apartment is a very bright 135sq.m. loft, in the front building of an Altbau that is generally free of street noise on the side facing the inner yard but quite noisy on the Sonnenallee side. There is a large shared area with individual spaces that serve as a kitchen/dining room, living room, and one more dining/recreation space. There is a single very large bathroom with a shower, a tub, and a washing machine, two terraces, a nice Weber BBQ, available bike racks, and Keller space. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including dishwasher- unclear about cookware at the moment.
There is a spare room that can be used as an office/guest room but we'll be sharing that. If you have a different use case in mind, we can discuss it.
The pictures are mainly for reference- the apartment is not in the exact same state at the moment. I am returning to Berlin after a brief absence, so some of the furniture is in long-term storage. This should be taken care of in the first few days however. I will need to redecorate- any creative suggestions and any help are welcome.
I don't have a preferred type of person- but
I only speak ein bisschen Deutsch because this is Berlin, so good communication in English is a must.
Anmeldung is not possible for the time being. Length of stay can be negotiated however.
