Hello there!
We have a free room with 23sqm from mid december and would love to have someone exciting live with us :)
The room is facing towards south-west and therefore is the brightest room in the apartment with sun in the afternoon. There is two big altbau-windows and two heaters. One corner of the room is painted in a warm and gentle dark green, as seen in the pictures. The other walls are white. The room will be unfurnished and you can feel free to decorate it.
We have two bathrooms and also a living-room and a small room for laundry or guests.
Our WG is located in "Sprengelkiez" in Wedding. Its a very nice area with a canal right down the street and a park and lake in a distance of 5 bike minutes. The street is quite calm, and luckily there is a little ice café and a sudanese sandwich diner right next door. In the further neighbourhood there is plenty of options of international restaurants and cafés, plus a medium sized supermarket and a smaller marketplace. Generally it's not a rough part of Wedding and it's also not super hip. It's somewhere in between and we feel quite comfortable that way.
We are Simon from Berlin and Fuat from Istanbul. Two thirty-somethings working partly from home, partly in the office / on production. Simon is working in media, producing all sorts of photos, videos and audio for musicians (because he studied music and that's his bubble). Fuat is working in a company that connects things like wind turbines to the internet (so that the digitisation can progress).
We both play basketball and like to cook in our cosy kitchen. In the summertime we like to go the lake and hang out in the sun. In winter, we enjoy some nice netflix series on our little living room cinema that you can see on the photo. Simon has been living in this WG for nearly 9 years while Fuat joined around 1,5 years ago.
We are looking for someone who brings an additional vibe to our flat. In the past we have been very successful with constellations where people with different personalities and interests find a common ground in this home. We are looking for a familiar atmosphere where we can chat and share some food and stories. Nonetheless we acknowledge that everyone needs their space from time to time, especially after a hard days work. Finding a good balance there and being respectful towards everyones needs is really important to us.
We keep our space tidy by cleaning up after ourselves individually and also participating in our cleaning schedule, where we share some bigger tasks.

The 50€ Ablösevereinbarung are for a new vacuuming machine that we had to buy, as the old one was from the roomy who is leaving us.
Fuat will be on a long trip from mid December to February and his room will be sublet to another roomy for this time. That's not important for the long term situation, but we thought it would be good to know.
