First up, sorry but I’ll write the ad in English so everyone can read it. Also your flatmate speaks English so you should probably too ;)
Rent is all inclusive (inc. Heat, Water, Electricity, 50 mBit Internet,...)
Also you are not responsible to cover the true costs of surcharges (Nebenkosten) and electricity once they become known usually in the year following the year that you lived there!
Also usually the costs of the place are higher but I need someone as off March else I have to cover the costs :/ If you move in in March your rent will stay at the value indicated though and not rise later.
In a nutshell:
- Flat (about 65 qm total) shared with one other person
- Fully furnished and equipped
- Your private room is large (ca. 25qm), bright and quiet, simple but fully furnished
- Park-like garden for free use with the neighbors (who are all really nice people btw. :)
On the floorplan your room is the one named “Flatmate’s room”, with entrance via the hallway. The naming is not perfect I realize ;)
Furniture could be added or removed upon mutual agreement. Let me know what you require. If you like, the bed comes fully equipped with pillows, covers, sheets, and casings. Towels are provided as well if required.
Only if you register at the city you will have to pay about 20 Eur/month German National Television (GEZ) fee (not worth it if you ask me ;) But you can split with your flatmate.
Smoking is possible but only outside / in the garden please.
The flat in general has its ups:
Nice neighborhood, well located, bright, central heating and warm warter!, equipped with rather new fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave...
But also downs:
Really basic furniture and shows some wear in certain places (paint coming off bathroom ceiling in places and not painted very nice (I did it myself :/ ;), bathroom could use some maintenance maybe (which I am thinking about having done...)
- Apartment is located at Renoisstr., a quiet street just south of the "Südstadt" with free and usually good parking options
- Public transport is close, same are supermarkets, city center, venusberg (for running and walks),...
- Now just a few more words to get to 50 characters, well here we are :)
Your flat-mate works for the UN and speaks English but only a little German.
In general this is more a shared flat situation. He is sure open to talk and maybe cook/eat together now and then. But do not expect like a level of common activities like it can often be found in shared living arrangements for students :)
The apartment has central heating and central warm water (which is very comfortable and rare in Bonn due to many buildings being much older and usually having some kind of on-demand electrical or gas water heater that often sucks at providing constant pressure/temperature and is super expensive :/)
I used to live there myself but moved in with my girlfriend and am subletting it for now. Term of notice usually is three months in Germany, which is what I have on the apartment, but you will only have one month term (So e.g. you let me know you want to move out before end of January and you are out end of February).
If you are going to live in Bonn for a longer period of time taking over the place entirely might be an option.
Don't know what else to write, questions welcome :)
If you get in contact (btw. I do speak German if you prefer) please write a few lines about yourself. What do you do, age, as off when would you want to rent the room, how long would you likely want to stay,...
