Our flat consists of two floors, which are the 3 and 4th floor of the house. The room which is available is on the 3rd floor, and thus close to the kitchen and bathroom. The floor is spacious, has a high ceiling, and has a lot of light due to two big windows. As the room is located at the north, it is the coolest room of the WG, which is a pleasant feature in the summer. The room will be almost fully furnished (or empty if you prefer) which means there will be a bed, an amazing couch and enough closets for clothing and other stuff. You are expected to buy all this furniture, though for a reasonable 75€.
Our flat is located in the cosy Altstadt, the best place to live in Bonn. There are lots of nice cafés, bars and little shops. The street where we are living in is pretty quiet. You can reach the city center in a few minutes by foot, as well as supermarkets, bakery and everything you need for your daily life. The next subway station "Stadthaus" is 5 minutes away by foot. Going to the main university building and the train station takes less than 15 minutes by foot or 5 mins by bike.
You will be living here with three women, Laura, Anna and Eliane. Laura is doing her Master in Sociology at the University of Bonn. Anna is enjoying her gap time between her former apprenticeship and the start of her studies in October. Eliane is working at the UNEP as an (unfortunately unpaid) intern as part of her masters in politics. We enjoy living together and every now and then we are cooking, eating or drinking tea or beer together. Of course everybody has the right of a private space too.
Were sharing all our food (mostly Bio), which is working perfectly and often there is some dinner ready when youre arriving at home. You are expected to join this sharing traditions, which does come with costs, which you would otherwise spend too ofcourse. We are curious and open and we are looking forward to everybody who wants to bring some new idea's into the WG.
Very important is that we all need to leave the flat until the 30. of September 2019 because our landlord wants to do renovations in the flat. You are expected to leave by then. So please only contact us, if this is okay with you and in accordance with your plans. The room is available from the 28 of June, so you could move in that weekend or whatever works best for you. You will be subletting from Thijs, the current tenant, which makes things easier for you too. We're looking forward to receive your message, so that we can get to know each other soon. Don't worry when your English is not perfect, that is all fine ;-). We can schedule when you come by or we can organize a Skype for tonight.
