Zimmer in gemütlicher 2er-WG

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral. Mit der Straßenbahn braucht man nur 3 Minuten zum Hauptbahnhof und in die Innenstadt. Supermärkte wie Edeka und Penny sind auch gleich um die Ecke. Die nächste Straßenbahn-Haltestelle (Dobben) ist 2 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Direkt gegenüber befindet sich ein kleiner Obst- und Gemüseladen.

The flat is very centrally located. It takes 3 minutes by tram to get to the central train station and the city centre. Supermarkets such as Edeka and Penny are also around the corner. The nearest tram stop (Dobben) is a 2-minute walk away. There is a small fruit and vegetable shop directly opposite.

Momentan wohne ich mit Karen zusammen, die jetzt nach ihrem bestandenen Referendariat nach Straßburg zieht und ein kleines Abenteuer sucht. Mich zieht es ebenfalls ins Ausland, weshalb ich im August für ein halbes Jahr als Erasmus-Studentin nach Göteborg gehe. Für diese Zeit wurd Teagan in meinem Zimmer wohnen. Sie kommt aus den USA und studiert Ökologie im Master.

In unser WG-Leben herrscht eine sehr angenehme und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Nach der Arbeit/Uni kommen wir oft in der Küche zusammen, erzählen von unserem Tag und essen oder kochen auch mal zusammen. Die große Küche lädt zum geselligen Miteinander ein, es besteht aber natürlich auch immer die Möglichkeit, sich zurückzuziehen. Die Wohnung ist in erster Linie ein zu Hause, in dem sich beide wohlfühlen sollen. Teagan und mir ist es vor allem wichtig, dass man offen und ehrlich miteinander umgeht und Rücksicht aufeinander nimmt. Wir wollen grundlegende Lebensmittel wie Öl, Zwiebeln usw. teilen, aber sonst kauft und benutzt jeder seine eigenen Lebensmittel.

Ich (Pia) studiere zur Zeit den Master Marine Umweltwissenschaften an der Universität Oldenburg. In meiner Freizeit bin ich gerne draußen unterwegs. Außerdem gehe ich regelmäßig zum Turnen und bewege mich auch sonst gerne. Manchmal spiele ich Klavier oder Saxophon. Ich finde es schön, wenn man sich abends in der Küche trifft und quatschen kann, oder auch ab und zu gemeinsam kocht oder eine Tasse Kaffee trinkt.

At the moment I'm living with Karen, who is moving to Strasbourg after completing her traineeship and is looking for a little adventure. I also want to explore new places, which is why I'm going to Gothenburg in August for six months as an Erasmus student. Teagan will be staying in my room for that time. She comes from the USA and studies ecology for her Master's degree.

There is a very pleasant and cosy atmosphere in our shared flat. After work/university, we often get together in the kitchen, talk about our day and eat or cook together. The large kitchen invites us to socialise, but of course there is always the possibility to withdraw. The flat is first and foremost a home in which both of us should feel comfortable. It is important to Teagan and me that we are open and honest with each other and show consideration for each other. We want to share basic things like cooking oil or onions, but most food we buy and use seperately.

I (Pia) am currently studying for a Master's degree in Marine Environmental Sciences at the University of Oldenburg. In my free time, I like to be outdoors. I also go to gymnastics regularly and like to exercise. Sometimes I play the piano or saxophone. I think it's nice to meet in the kitchen in the evening and chat, or to cook together or have a cup of coffee from time to time.
