A shared flat in the best district of Darmstadt, Johannesviertel. I have a very good room available for short-term renting - preferably to a student for one semester - making it an ideal opportunity for an exchange student looking for a comfortable and convenient living arrangement.
🏡 The Flat:
The room is fully furnished, measuring 4.30m x 3.00m, with a high ceiling of 2.45cm. You're welcome to decorate and personalise the room to your liking. It features wall-to-wall windows facing east, ensuring plenty of natural light and a lovely view. You'll have the advantage of the morning sun, and if you prefer shade, the room is equipped with thick blinds. The apartment has recently been renovated and is well-equipped with all the essentials, including a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, full-size fridge, oven, air-fryer, microwave, a vacuum cleaner and even a drill...
📍 The Location:
The flat is located in the heart of Darmstadt, at Willy-Brant-Platz. You'll be right in the city-center, with an array of bars, pubs, and gourmet restaurants just a short stroll away. The bus station is conveniently located right outside our door (yes, zero minutes by walk!). There's also a kiosk right across the street. Within a 10 minute walk, you'll find Rewe, Aldi, and the main building of TU Darmstadt. If you enjoy nature, you'll love Herrngarten, situated just across the street. It offers a small lake, running tracks, a basketball court, and green spaces for relaxation. Despite our central location, you'll find that the flat is peaceful and quiet, as we're situated on the 4th floor and have double-layered windows.
👬 The Flatmate:
You'll be sharing the flat with me, Umut. I'm an open-minded and easy-going person. We can occasionally use the table in the hallway to have dinner together and chat. I am always up for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and a friendly chat. My previous housemates and I often cooked together, went hiking, and even went swimming in the lake. I am a full-time software developer working from home also part-time masters student at TU Darmstadt. My previous flatmates have described me as helpful and good at repairing stuff. I like baking, when it comes to cooking I can cook anything with a recipe. Basic cleanliness is important to me, but I'm not overly picky about it. The best way to get to know each other is by having a chat.
