Dear all,
I am subrenting one room in a spacious 4 room appartment. The price includes the current rate for electricity and heating, internet (100 mbit line) and GEZ. The room itself has 10-11 m2 and a window towards the south, so it is quite bright. As the street in front of the room is very small, there is hardly any noise from outside especially during night.
Besides this room just for yourself we are going to share a huge common area of the appartment: a living room, a bathroom, a balcony (southern direction) the kitchen as well as the fourth room currently used as an office. There is enough space for a second desk and free storage areas in the office room, however please be aware that I am working remotely in this room for 2-3 days per week during office hours. The bathroom was fully renovated 2 years ago, has a window and is equipped with a bath tub which can be used as a shower. In the basement, there is additional storage room for a bike or similar items.
There is some furniture you could use for your room free of costs (bed, desk, bookcases, shelves), only a slatted frame and mattress are missing. The remaining appartment is fully equipped with furniture, for example including a washing machine, kitchen with accessories, storage spaces, couch, dining table etc. There is also a nice selection of board games. The TV in the living room does not have any access to TV programs and is only used as a monitor for sports.
The house itself has 4 floors with 3 appartments each. Inhabitants are several students, a big amount of full time workers, however the average age is pretty low. There is a courtyard where you can lock your bike.
The appartment is located very close to Herrngarten, so only a 5-10 minutes walk to TU Darmstadt or about 10 minutes to the city center. As it is located in a small street, there is hardly any noise outside except for a school being close by. The next bus stop is Kahlertstraße or Willy-Brandt-Platz, both reachable within 3-5 minutes. Rewe, Penny, Tegut and Netto are also within walking distance.

You would be living in this appartment with me, a female 30 years old German native, former student of TU Darmstadt and since a few years working full time close by. I am a rather calm person interested in photography, foreign languages, travelling and dance. Additionally, I do some other sports 2-3 times a week or like to meet with friends for a nice dinner or some board games.
I am a morning person, so it should not bother you to hear someone in the kitchen around 7 am already. However, I pay attention to a calm way of living and would expect the same from you.
For me it is very important that we can find a good way of communication and mutual respect as we are sharing a huge area of the appartment. If you are furthermore interested in cooking together from time to time and have some nice discussions, it would be a big plus.
For now, the subrent is limited to two months with an option to extend if we understand well. Further details to be discussed during a visit.
