Das Zimmer ist klein aber fein, mit einem Einbauschrank und einem Waschbecken mit Spiegel und Ablage. Es ist, wie angegeben, Teil einer 10er WG in einem der alten Gebäude der Studentensiedlung. Die Wohnung ist in zwei Flure mit jeweils fünf Zimmern aufgeteilt, dein Flur hat ein Bad und eine Toilette. Die Küche ist sehr geräumig mit 6 Herdplatten, zwei Backöfen und einer Mikrowelle und einem großen Esstisch mit Sitzbank. An die Küche grenzt ein Balkon mit viel Platz an, der nach Südosten rausgeht, sodass man den ganzen Tag über Sonne hat.
The room is small but nice, with a built-in closet and a sink with a mirror and shelf for all your body care-related clutter. As indicated, you will have 9 housemates living with you in this old building of Freiburg's biggest "student village" (around 1500 students live here). The flat is divided into two hallways with 5 rooms each, your hall has one bathroom and one seperate toilet. The kitchen lies between the two halls and is very spacious with 6 cooking plates, two ovens and a microwave and a big table with a bench seat. Adjoining is a big balcony which points towards south-east, meaning you get sun there the whole day.
Die Lage ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut. Zum einen ist der Seepark um die Ecke. Er wurde für die Landesgartenschau damals angelegt und ist dementsprechend schön gestaltet. Außerdem kann man in dem See schwimmen gehen. Zum anderen sind viele Einkaufsläden direkt um die Ecke (Edeka, Penny, Denn's, dm, Apotheke, Schreibwarenladen, zwei Bäcker etc...) und die Stadt ist in 10 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen.
Die Bahnhaltestelle "Am Bischofskreuz", von der die Linie 1 fährt, ist quasi direkt vor der Haustür.
Die Stusie selber bietet ebenfalls viele Möglichkeiten: im Büro, welches immer abends für zwei Stunden geöffnet ist, kann man Waschmarken kaufen, drucken und scannen und so ziemlich alles, was man sich vorstellen kann, ausleihen (Farbe, Grills, Matratzen, etc). Es gibt einen Musik- und einen Handwerksraum, Lernräume zum mieten und eine Fahrradwerkstatt, einmal im Monat veranstaltet die Stusie einen Brunch. Es gibt Fußball und Volleyballfelder. Zudem ist hier ein Club, in dem an den meisten Wochenenden irgendeine Party stattfindet.
The location is very good, in my opinion. For one, the Seepark is right around the corner. It was laid out for the state horticultural show and is accordingly beautiful. It is allowed to go swimming in the lake. Secondly, many shopping stores are very close by (Edeka, Penny, Denn's, dm, a pharmacy, a stationary shop, two bakeries...) and you can reach the city center in like 10 minutes by bike. The tram stop "Am Bischofskreuz", where line 1 stops, is practically in front of the house.
The Stusie itself also has many possibilities: at the studentdesk, which is open for two hours every night during the week, they sell washing coins, print and scan documents for you and lend to you almost anything you can think of (paint, BBQs, matresses, etc.). They also have a music- and a woodwork room, rooms for studying and a bicycle repair café. There are soccer and volleyball fields. Once every month the Stusie hosts a brunch. On top of that there is a club and bar here, which has a party on most weekends.
Die Mitbewohner in der Stusie sind bunt gemischt. Die WGs ändern meist jedes Semester ihre Zusammensetzung, da viele internationale Studenten hier wohnen. Dadurch ist aber auch immer Leben in der Bude und man kann mit verschiedenen MitbewohnerInnen viel unternehmen. Die Küche und der Balkon sind die Orte, wo man eigentlich immer jemand anderem begegnet und wo genug Platz für gemeinsam sitzen, essen und Zeit verbringen ist. Sonst sind wir bei gutem Wetter auch öfter an den Seepark gegangen, um dort zu grillen und/oder zu chillen.
The housemates in the Stusie are very diverse. Most of the time, the living communities change their composition every semster because of all the international students living here. This does make for a very lively surrounding, however, and you can do a lot with different housemates. The kitchen and the balcony are the places-to-be, where you can meet housemates almost all the time and where there is enough space to sit, eat, and spend time together. Otherwise, in good weather we also went to the Seepark sometimes, to have a BBQ and/or chill there.
Regular kann man aus der Stusie nur zum Semesterende (30.09.) ausziehen, weswegen ich jetzt selber nach einem Nachmieter / einer Nachmieterin suche. Wenn ihr Interesse habt, schreibt mir hier oder auf Whatsapp oder ruft mich direkt an und ihr könnt gerne das Zimmer anschauen. Wenn ihr interessiert seid, würde ich euch bei der Stusie ankündigen bzw. ihr würdet sie selber kontaktieren, damit sie nicht selber jemanden reinsetzen.
Regularly, it is only possible to move out of the Stusie at semester end (30.09.). Therefore, I am looking for a new tenant myself. If you are interested, write me here or on whatsapp or just call me directly and you can come to have a look at the room. If you want to rent it, I would notify the Stusie or you would contact them so that they don't put somebody else in the room.
