Dear WG-Sucher,
The room is located on the 2nd floor in the Ignaz Green building (managed by Unmüssig Immobilien Management) in Schreiberstrasse 12. The room is pretty big (18m^2) and light (with 3 large windows), while floor heating keeps our feet warm during winter! It is already furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk + chair, armchair, coffee table and a shelf. Besides that, we share a common room/kitchen and two bathrooms (so taking your time in there is never an issue :D). There is also a common room in the building with table football and washing machines for everyone.
We are a relatively new WG (from May), but we can already share many advantages of living in the city centre with you: for instance, chilling by the Dreisam or having everything within 5 minutes on foot (dm, Rewe, cafés, uni, mensa, trams in all directions). Despite the building being on the B31 road, your window will be towards the courtyard, so road noise won’t be a problem! Furthermore, the whole building was freshly renovated at the beginning of the year and is entirely made for students (so a valid Studienbescheinigung is requirement to sign the contract).
You would be living with Lena, Ema and Div.
Lena is a local, so she is there to help by suggesting cool spots around Freiburg. Other than that, she studies at the PH, enjoys dancing and ocassionally kills a basil plant.
Ema comes from Serbia and is studying Liberal Arts and Sciences. She often tries to explain the complicated program to us, but with no luck. And she happily does all kinds of sports, from dancing to hiking!
Div comes from India and loves sharing his cooking skills with us. He is studying Business Information Systems and is always down for chilling on the river, going for a spontaneous coffee or playing volleyball.
We are all very open, friendly and always ready for some planned or spontaneous WG activities. Div and Ema are happy to practice their German from time to time, though we mostly speak English. Cleanliness in the common areas is very much appreciated, especially after messy cooking sessions! Of course, after long and stressful days at uni, everybody needs their alone time, but overall we are a lively WG, often with open doors and some music in the background.
