From the 1st of March 2020, a room will be available in our shared apartment. The room has a window to the north and one to the west and therefore very bright.
The kitchen is relatively large (approximately 15 square meters), and can fit up to 6 people comfortably. It's definitely possible to have people round for some food etc. Apart from a dishwasher, the kitchen is fully equipped.
In addition, we have a 2m x 3m west-facing balcony, which can be accessed from one of the small rooms, which is common and currently used to hang our laundry. You're very welcome to sit in the balcony during summer to enjoy the sun (if we're lucky to catch some here in Göttingen :P).
The house itself is also very quiet. There are 6 other flats of which 4 are shared (WGs). Most of them are students who are very nice and there has never been a problem.
The apartment has a large basement room: plenty of room for bicycles, and boxes that you may not need.
The room costs 349€ / month, including electricity, internet, landline with flatrate. We have the 25Mbit package from KabelDeutschland. There is no TV, but connecting one would not be a problem.

The swimming pool Eiswiese is about 250m away,
the outdoor pool at Brauweg 650 m,
the nearest supermarket 200m,
the nearest bakery 150m,
the nearest bus stop 150m.
It is about 1km to the Wall, so it is a 10min walk to the city center. To the central campus you need 10min by bike.
I (Josephine) am from Malaysia and did my Bachelors and Masters degree in London. I came to Göttingen for my PhD in Molecular Oncology 4 years ago. My roommate (Kaye) from the Philippines, is working as a software developer at a company nearby. So far we have been living well together. :) Sometimes we would chill in the kitchen with a glass of wine or maybe a gin and tonic. Nonetheless, we understand that everyone needs their freedom and privacy.
The current tenant of the room would like to sell most of her furniture, but that can be discussed. :)
