Schöne Hilli-WG Oststadt

Unsere Lage ist ganz hervorragend, wir sind in der einen Richtung innerhalb von 5 Minuten im Wald, in der anderen in 5 Minuten in der Innenstadt (jeweils mit dem Fahrrad). Der Z-Campus ist ca. 10 mit dem Radl entfernt, weitere spannende Dinge wie Supermärkte und der Bus sind auch nur ein Katzensprung entfernt.

Die Mitbewohnis sind Miriam, Gerrit (er, ist Biologe), und Méllie (she/her, Iranistik). Das WG-Leben zentriert sich um die gemütliche Küche im Souterrain, wo gemeinsam oder nebeneinander gekocht, gegessen, gequatscht und Tee oder Bier getrunken wird, wie's halt gerade passt. Wer Gesellschaft sucht, muss da jedenfalls meist nicht lange warten, Partys werde hier allerdings eher selten gefeiert. Gemeinsame Aktionen werden meist spontan initiiert, seien es Waldspaziergänge oder Laufen, Kochen, sich im Gärtnern ausprobieren oder mal einen Filmabend zu machen- alles abhängig vom aktuellen Energielevel in der WG.

A few words about us (we are a bit lazy sometimes, so this in English only):

Mellie
Melika (28), or Mellie, is studying Iranistik and you can tell her random facts about almost anything. She's often at work at a bar or studying but goes bouldering and clubbing too; she'd say she lives a double life with her responsibilities and her immense desire for socializing. She sometimes cooks and it's usually potatoes in the oven cuz why not potatoes are amazing. She invites friends for game nights (of course WG people are informed beforehand and welcome to join :P). She swims in warmer seasons and teaches children in camps so she might be away for some weeks in summer or spring. She likes decoding dead languages for the sake of history and research (she is sometimes pissed that there are manuscripts rotting here and there in the world!) She's open for long conversations; if she is not late for appointments, zoning out, or deep asleep lol. She is sometimes exhausted or secretly angry but takes her chances to be politically active and make necessary changes in our world. She claims she's empathetic and likes listening/sharing/moderating.
All that, yet fortunately she cocoons and does nothing some days.

Gerrit (30) is focused on studying biodiversity in all of its aspects (although he finished his University studies already). He likes to explore the plants and animals around Göttingen and everywhere else and introduce others to his newest companions (no matter if you ask for it or not), may it be a cute tiny flower or a furious lichen-eating fungus. At the same time his girlfriend and him are excited to find out about new music, movies, art, books and food. He collects ideas, celebrates random stuff and imperfection.

Miriam/Miri (23) is studying Ökosystemmanagement (ecosystem management). As the 8th semester is ending, the bachelor thesis is coming up soon. She likes to play basketball, go climbing or bouldering, is interested in plants (indoor and outdoor) and reads a lot (but currently audio books are taking over). With her friends she likes to have (more or less meaningless) discussions about anything, play cards or other board games and cook (mostly pizza). After full days she also needs me-time to recharge her social batteries. Miriam likes to be outside and warm days on a meadow, at lakes and so on. But also thunderstorms and heavy rain bring good mood. Spontaneous rain dances or firefly walks are welcome to her. (Mellie approves! :D)


Ein weiterer netter Aufenthaltsraum findet sich eine Tür weiter: Im Garten/auf der Terrasse kann man grillen, Dinge pflanzen, laue Sommerabende genießen. Hier ist Rauchen erlaubt. Was wir mögen: Nudeln, schlechte Wortwitze, das Göttinger Stadtradio, Kreuzworträtsel und Weichmut2.0 (unser neues altes Küchensofa).
Wir haben eine Gemüsekiste mit Zufalls-Gemüse zur wöchentlichen Kochinspiration a la was-soll-das-denn-sein.
Momentan haben wir keinen Putzplan, sondern putzen so wie wir denken, dass es passt und reden drüber, wenn es wem zu dreckig ist. Einige Lebensmittel und Kram sind kollektiv, andere nicht.

Nazis, Sexist*innen, Rassist*innen und dergleichen sind bei uns fehl am Platz.
