(English version at the very end)
Hallo WG-suchende,
Hello WG-seekers,
since I'm moving away from Karlsruhe, I'm looking for a new tenant for my WG-room in the Adlerstraße. If necessary, I can hand over a few days early. Viewings will start on the weekend of 15./16.
# Room
The room itself is about 16 square meters, bright, well cut, and has its own access to the shared balcony. The orientation is to the inner courtyard, which means that you hear even less of the already few street noises. Due to the location on the west side, you have it nice and sunny in the afternoons and evenings. Curtains and blinds can then be used to adjust the brightness as needed.
# Furniture
In the room there is still some furniture, which I would like to leave to you. The main part is the bed, including mattress and bedframe, a large cabinet, a smaller cabinet and various smaller shelves or a chest. In the hallway, there also hangs a mirror that belongs to me. My clothes horse, curtains, chair and vacuum cleaner I would also bequeath to you. The whiteboard I will still take off, unless you have interest in it. So the only thing that is currently missing to get started would be a desk.
# Apartment
The rest of the apartment has everything you need. Refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, pots, plates, etc. In the hallway there is also additional storage space (and also somewhere a basement compartment that I have never used). The bathroom is split with a bath and with a toilet in separate rooms. This is also quite practical.
# Location
The room is super centrally located, you actually have everything you need nearby. Restaurants, cafes, and a variety of shopping options, all within walking distance. It is also not far to the KIT if you are still studying. The distances to the nearest supermarkets are approx:
- Small Turkish supermarket directly in the neighboring building
- Edeka 4 minutes (by foot), 2 minutes (by bike) (in the Scheck-In Center)
- Rewe 7 minutes (on foot), 3 minutes (by bike) (in the ECE-Center)
- Aldi 12 minutes (on foot), 5 minutes (bicycle)
- Lidl 20 minutes (on foot), 8 minutes (bicycle)
There is also a gym in the check-in center.
Public transport also looks very good, various stops are 2, 3 and 5 minutes walk away, so you then have almost all lines covered. Even to the main train station you can walk in about 20 minutes.
# Living together
In addition to you, Carlos and Eduardo live in the apartment. They are both Latin Americans, so sometimes they speak German, sometimes English and sometimes Spanish. It always depends on the situation and the people involved.
Both are already over thirty and working, but they are still very pleasant. Carlos has a relaxed attitude to life and it's easy to philosophize with him about all sorts of things or even go out partying together. Eduardo is all the more structured, with him everything really has its order.
For me, it was more of a functional shared apartment where, apart from conversations in the kitchen, we didn't do that much together. But that's not a fixed requirement, it depends on what you make of it.
