Two summer months in an awesome community in Kiel <3 (English below)
Das Zimmer liegt im Keller, hat aber ein großes Fenster, das direkt zu unserem schönen bunt bepflanzten Garten hinausgeht (tatsächlich kannst du einfach aus dem Fenster steigen und bist im Garten!)
Der Raum ist komplett Möbliert und bietet viel Stauraum und wirkt sehr höhlig und gemütlich. An Sommerabenden scheint die Sonne hinein und man kann es sich auf der breiten Fensterbank gemütlich machen. Direkt vor dem Fenster ist ein Blumenbeet.
In dem Haus gibt es noch zwei weitere Stockwerke. Im Erdgeschoss wohnen zwei Mitbewohnende und im Obergeschoss drei.
Wichtiger Hinweis bei 6 Bewohnenden: wir haben insgesamt 3 Klos und 2 Badewannen. Allerdings eine Dusche und eine Küche ;D
The room is located in the cellar - but now worries: the cellar is built to live in and the room has a big window which backs on to the beautiful coloured garden (you can literally climb out of the window and you are in the middle of it!) You are dealing here with a room in a big house in the village called Ottendorf inhabitied by 7 people in total :)
The room is furnitured and has lots of space. It is quite huge but for me it always felt like a cozy cave. In the evenings, at least in the summer, the sun shines through the window and you can make yourself comfortable on the wide window still. Directly infront of the window is a flowerbed.
The house contains two more stareys. Two flatmates live in the ground floor and another three in the first floor. From Octobre on there will be another room for rent, which is in the celllar also.
Important to notice: We have in 3 toilets in total and 2 bathtubs. But only one shower and one kitchen ;)
Unser Haus befindet sich in Ottendorf, am Ortsrand in Richtung Kronshagen. Nach Kronshagen sind es 1,5 km, nach Kiel (zum Exerzierplatz z.B.) ca. 7km.
Mit dem Rad ist alles innerhalb von 20-30 Min gut zu erreichen Ein Bus zum Hbf fährt direkt vor unserer Haustür (Haltestelle Auberg Ottendorf), in der näheren Umgebung (1,5km-Radius) gibt es noch weitere Busanbindungen. Zum Kieler Hbf sind es 25 Min mit Fahrrad, zu den Bahnhöfen Suchsdorf oder Kronshagen nur 10-15 Min. Zur Uni fährst du mit dem Rad ca. 20 Min.
In direkter Umgebung liegt das Domänetal, verschiedene Wälder, Feldwege und der Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. Wenn du gerne draußen bist, ist es also optimal. Hinzu kommt dass wir einen großen Garten haben, in dem es sich entspannen lässt und in dem wir auch Gemüse anbauen.

Our house is located in the village Ottendorf, directly on the outskirts in the direction of Kronshagen. It's about 7 km to Kiel Exerzierplatz (e.g.).
By bike it takes 20-30 min to get anywhere. A bus to the central station takes off direktlich infront our doorstep (Station is Auberg Ottendorf) and in a radious from 1,5 km there are other busstations as well. By bike it takes 25 min to the central station, but only 10-15 min to the railwaystations in Suchsdorf and Kronshagen.To the campus you get within 20 min.
In the direct area you'll find the Domänetal, various forests, small countryroads and the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. If like being outside it'll be perfect for you. Plus we have a huge garden to have a good nap in the sun and in which you can do gardening.
Wir leben hier gemeinschaftlich und du bist herzlich eingeladen mit dran teilzunehmen - musst du aber auch nicht. :)
Der Ort bietet tolle Möglichkeiten: Es gibt einen Hobby/Gäste-Raum, der noch ziemlich frei nutzbar ist, es gibt den Garten, ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Musikinstrumenten und einem Beamer und zudem ist die Garage eine Werkstatt mit diversen Werkzeugen. Wenn du dich in diesen Räumen irgendwie austoben magst: go for it!
Wir haben außerdem 5 lustige Hühner:)
Die Menschen, die hier wohnen haben auf verschiedene Weisen eine naturnahe Lebensweise und sind aufgeschlossen und entspannt. Aber am besten lernst du sie selber kennen :)

We live here as community and you are welcome to join us - but you don't have to :)
The place has lots of possibilites: There is hobby/guest-Room (which is stil very free to use), we have a garden to relax and where we practice gardening also, there is a huge livingroom with a beamer and various musicinstruments, plus there is a garage with many different tools. If you like to start a crazy project: go for it!
Moreover we have five quite funny chickens. :)
The people living here have Lifestyle which is quite close to nature. They are all openminded and relaxed. Best if you get to know them on your own!
