Hello everyone!
My room is for sublet in a colorful international household in a very green area of Cologne.
The room is located in the basement of the house and is therefore not a place for sunbathing on the windowsill.
But You can catch your daily dose of light in the spacious garden and Winter Garden - the heart of our house.
The room is about 22m2 in size. That's more than enough space for morning yoga sessions.
Just one thing: the ceiling is only a little over 2,50m. If you are a tall person, you might feel even taller ... :) so please make sure, you're comfortable with this before applying.
The room will be furnished and I will discuss with you how much space you need for personal belongings - and what can stay in the room.
Since I live with a dog, you should have no allergies :-)
We live here in a lovely neighborhood. Lake Wassermannsee is a 12-minute walk away.
Various forms of public transport can be reached in 2 to 12 minutes (Vogelsanger Markt, Akazienweg or Wolffsohnstraße).
Behind the house is the Biesterfeld, a beautiful park with a small forest.
You can cycle to Ehrenfeld or Bickendorf in less than 10 minutes - depending on your destination.
You spend your time at home in the green with birds chirping and frogs croaking in the evening. And yet you're back in the vibrant Venloer Straße or other parts of the city so quickly.
We are a bunch of lovely people from different countries and backgrounds. Some like to socialize and you will have a good time with them. Others go their own ways and you won't get to see much of them.
Despite the large number of people, we tend to be quiet on weekdays. (No party WG, besides the beautiful summer-gatherings in the garden around the bonfire)
Especially now in summer, everyone is out and about a lot.
So it can happen that everyone is at home and it is quite lively. On other days, however, you are on your own and have the garden and house to yourself ;-)
We have a large garden with vegetables, a fireplace, flowers, and decorations.
I would be happy if you could have a look at that too, just like the houseplants. There is a water connection for watering and of course, you can also harvest something or other when it is ripe! That's what a garden is for!
There are herbaceous corners and corners that are "cultivated". I would be very happy to keep an eye on when something needs to be done here and there.
Of course, you can also invite friends here and use the barbecue and fireplace as long as the neighbours don't get smoked and keep up the good relationship with them :D
You must join the monthly meetings. They are there to check on everybody and keep up on repetitive tasks everyone has to do. Also we rely on you to follow our cleaning schedules :) It's easy and not to overwhelming. Still we are only looking for subrenters with a sense of loving their home and keeping it nice.
We share all foods here and therefore I look for a person that is willed to live vegan.
I would like to sublet my room for some time as I will be traveling and working outside Cologne a lot.
It will still be that I am on site from time to time. But then I will crash the couch or use other formats of sleep-over.
But I will discuss with you what can stay in the room and what can't, and of course I will take out things that I have to get to so that you can spread out and feel comfortable!
If you have pets, they are very welcome here!
I live here with my dog, so you should know if you have various allergies. Then maybe we should try it out first to see if it works for you here.
If you're normally living without pets, it should be ok for you that my dog will visit with me :-)
Because we are quite a number of people here, I want to make sure that everyone enjoys the summer to the fullest and that you and your needs suit the same as everyone here would suit your personality, too. That why please text us some personal information about you :)
