Unfortunately our flatmate and Erasmus student Jess is moving out in the end of June, so we are looking for a new member of our WG :)
The flat is located on Luisenring in a big and refurbished old building with beautiful high ceilings (over 4m) on the first floor, just by Jungbuschstraße.
The room has a big window towards the inner courtyard meaning there is no street noise, and like every room in the apartment it is partly furnished with a sofa bed (2x1, 4m), bedside table, wardrobe, desk and two bookshelves.
Besides 6 bedrooms we have a very large living room with couches and dining room table where we like to hang out. We also have a fully-equipped kitchen with two fridges, a dishwasher and all sorts of kitchenware. There is also a bathroom, two separate toilets and a laundry cellar where you can use our washing machine at any time free of charge. The courtyard is also safe for you to keep a bike should you have one.
We are a 8 minute walk from the city centre where you can find all the shops you need. Supermarkets like Penny or Jungbuschmarket are right around the corner, but other supermarkets in the Quadrate are not far away (Norma, Lidl, Netto, Rewe, Aldi).
The bus (60) and trams (2/6) are only 2-3 minutes away. The University of Mannheim is a 15 minute walk and the Popakademie is reachable in 5 minutes. Our flat is in the middle of Mannheim's district "Jungbusch", in which you can find a lot of bars and a few clubs. This district is especially suited to students and people generally under 30. It is well known and very popular for going out and having fun. Even though there is lot going on in the streets around our flat, it is still very quiet.
Currently there are six people living in our flat:
Jess, our beautiful exchange student from the UK, who is sadly leaving us.
Marion, 21, our cool and trendy student who studies physiotherapy.
Titus, 29, our Tinder-loving engineer at Siemens.
Verena, 25, our world-travelling engineer at Roche.
Daniel, 21, our sport-enthusiast software developer at SAP.
Jannis, 22, our workaholic free-lancer trying to fix the world.
We are looking for a new flatmate, preferrably an exchange student, who we can hang out and socialise with. We are mainly a flat of full-time workers, but we love to go out and have fun.
We welcome anyone who believes they can be part of our Mad WG.
