Hey,
I’m moving out of the room and with my 3 flatmates we are looking for someone to move into my room. The room will be free by the beginning of May, but we can discuss if you want to move in later in May, before the 1st June.
The apartment:
The flat is 95 square meters big, has 4 separate bedrooms, a bathroom and another separate toilet. We have a beautiful, new and big kitchen, two fridges and a freezer. There is also a small food chamber with shelves and a washing machine. There is also another little depot where you can storage some of your things.
The room:
Your room has 12 square metres and a big window with a lot of light until 2PM. You can also see the Giant Ferris Wheel from your window! I will take the furniture with me, so the room will be unfurnished. The rent is 337,5 per month, including all additional costs.
Location and area:
The location of the apartment is the best! The apartment is looking at the Venediger Au park, which means it’s only 3 minutes away from the U1 and U2 (Praterstern) and 5 minutes to the tram no. 5. For shopping there are Billa and Pennymarkt just around the corner (200m), as well as some other smaller food supermarkets with Arabian food. If you forgot to buy food during the week, there’s another huge Billa at Praterstern, which works on Sundays as well. On the ground floor of the building there is a shared atelier space where they are selling really nice (and affordable) fresh products from local farmers around Vienna.
It’s a very sunny street and a nice area - you can reach Prater park in only a few minutes by foot or 15 minutes on a bike to drive along both Donaukanal and Donau/Donauinsel. We have access to the private sunny garden in front of the house, where you can sit and have a drink with your flatmates.
About the flatmates:
Hanna (24), Andreas (24) and Igor (30) are all studying at the Akademie der bildenden Künste. Hanna is from Germany, she’s the queen of multi-hobbies - she draws, makes her own music, she’s very much into welding and reusing all sorts of funny objects that usually end up on the street. Andreas is from Denmark, likes to cook with the accompaniment of funny music, is very much into chilli, loves audio books, stories and comics. Igor studied philosophy in Stockholm and is studying media art and sculpture now. He became a Willhaben freak and a regular visitor of the exhibition openings. Since we are 4 people in the apartment, we really don't want to be together only for the purpose of low rent, but rather to be a community. We don’t spend a lot of time at home/together, but when we do, we try to experiment with cooking together sometimes, go for a drink, to some exhibition openings or watch some movies etc.
