The flat has a shared kitchen and dining room, a large bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, an extra toilet, a large balcony, a hallway, two rooms for your flatmates and two rooms for you. Yes, two rooms.
You will have one room of about 8 square metres and one with 4. Currently, I made the smaller one my walk-in closet and the larger one my main room to live in. I would be happy to leave some of my furniture here if you are interested as I cannot take everything with me where I move. Also, the move-in date can be some time between 1st of March to 1st of April, but we can talk about details when it's time.
Since the flat is located close to Wien Praterstern there are S-bahn (7min), U1 (4min), U2 (6min) and several tram and bus lines right around the corner.
It takes you about 10 minutes to get to the city center of Vienna by public transport or by bike and you can walk to Prater in 5 min. Also, you're on the Danube island in less than 10 min by bike.
For shopping, there are two Billas with one being open every day 6:00-22:00, a DM, a Hofer and several other shops located at Praterstern. If you want to go to a shopping center, you can get to Stadion center within 15 minutes.
Your flatmates will be Tine (German) and Claire (French) , who both are brilliant, super inspiring PhD students and super sociable. They would prefer a flatmate who already works over a student as they would like a similar daily schedule. We got along great and spent lots of time together and they are definitely searching for someone who is also up for a flatshare night, a spontaneous gathering in the kitchen chatting, eating together or doing some creative work together once in a while.
Even though Claire does study German and by now understands quite a lot we generally speak English in the flat, so you should be comfortable doing so. Internationals are especially welcome, as they are both super open-minded and curious when it comes to different cultures.
