Our flat has a free room in the summer (mid June to end of August) If you are visiting Vienna for only part of the time, you can also feel free to write us, but we will prioritize applicants who can stay for the entire period. We're looking forward to your message!
The room is completely furnished and very light, has a wooden floor and high ceilings. It is facing the Burggasse, so you'll always know what is going on in the hood. Our current flatmate will leave the bed which is custom made to fit the room and offers some extra storage space beneath.
The flat is well equipped. The kitchen is rather large, and there's almost always someone there cooking up tasty treats.
The living room is big, we have a projector to watch movies with. It is a bit of a free-for-all environment where you can invite friends over, have space for any project you want to do, or anything that you'd like. But we do like keeping it a clean environment for that.
The bathroom has a bathtub, a bidet, a sink, a washing machine.. everything you could ever wish for!
The toilet is apart from the bathroom, as it is in most flats in Vienna, which is actually very practical in the morning.
Couldn't be better. Very central and close to public transport, bars, museums, cafe's and whatever else the heart desires. (you're gonna become so so spoiled that you might want to take the elevator to go to the first floor).
All the members of the WG like to spend time with each other, and do so often. We have regular cooking or movie nights, sometimes go swimming in the Donau or hiking. We are looking for a new member who is similarly interested in building relationships and taking time for the WG. The common language in the WG is English, because not everyone is a German native speaker.
You will be living with:
Soshy (25): Soshy is unambiguously the funniest person you'll ever live with. Her laughter is contagious and unstoppable. She loves talking about ecosystems and politics, working with wood and listening to Cat Stevens or industrial techno records. She can fix anything (including, but not limited to broken shower curtains), and has an affinity for collecting rocks and watching rare birds along the Danube and drumming.
Reka (31): Reka is a warm hearted explorer of life. She loves intense sports in the outdoors and is an international orienteering champion. Whether prepping food in an industrial kitchen or writing internet code, Reka encounters everything with a calm intensity and gentle kindness. She is an expert at early-morning greetings and lover of vegan cuisine.
Angela (30): Angi is happiest in the forests around Vienna, observing sticks, snails, bark and moss at close range. She is the best cook in the flat and can make the crispiest, most absurdly delicious tofu you've ever had. Angi loves dancing, painting, making jewelry and building with clay and doing yoga. When she's not turning heads on the dancefloor, Angie can be found learning about orangutan pedagogy, and mothering the flat's plant collection.
Mela (24): Mela has a colorful personality and great sense of humor and gives workshops for kids about improv and queerness. Mela has proven that anything can be cooked in an air fryer, knows a fun fact about basically everything and has been shortlisted for the next Fast and the Furious movie, due to her unforgettable skills behind the wheel of a loading van.
