Hi!
One nice room in our spacious 165m² flat in the 9th district could be yours soon, as our flatmate, Louise, is leaving us.
The room has extra privacy, as it is a bit distant from the other rooms, next to the bathroom. The ceiling height is about 4m and the whole room has wooden floor (Fischgrätenparkett). The windows are facing the inner courtyard.
Louise wants to leave the bed in the room. It is pretty new and good quality.
As you can see on the photos, we have a big living room with a very nice bay window that is perfect for inviting friends for dinner or drinks and 4 separate bedrooms.
There is one big bathroom with bathtub, shower and toilet as well as a separate toilet and a fully functional but rather small kitchen with all the basic (& some extra like an espresso machine) appliances available.
The apartment is in the 2nd floor of a classical, quite elegant, Altbau with high ceilings and beautiful details and an elevator.
The apartment is perfectly situated in the 9th district, it's less than 5 minutes by foot to the Servitenviertel with lots of nice bars and restaurants.
There are numerous grocery stores, restaurants, a pharmacy, post office etc. all less than 2 minutes away by foot from our flat.
Votivpark and Liechtensteinpark are 7 minutes away each by foot.
The Bus 40A stops on our street, Tram D, 37, 38, 40 and 42 are 5 minutes away by foot.
Schottentor is 10 minutes away by foot with connections to the U2, several trams (1, 37, 38, 40, 42, 43, 44, 71, D) and buses; the U4 is also less than 10 minutes away by foot.
Who lives here:
Tonio (29), from Hamburg, recently started his educational leave to pursue his PhD enjoying the academic freedom, Stefan (33), quasi-Viennese native working at a university and Julia (24) moved to Vienna just last November and is working as a midwife.
We (Tonio and Stefan) took over the contract in October and plan to stay for a while. We've known each other for some years now, wanted to start a flat share and both moved into this apartment last summer. Julia moved in a bit later but immediately integrated and together we create the lovely feeling of a home. So ideally, you are someone who also likes to stay in the flat longer term.
We are in general quite easy-going and open for new flat-mates and their friends, as we enjoy good drinks and conversations and love inviting people in our flat.
Due to the separate living room there is enough space to host gatherings, as with everything else it's just a question of being mindful to each other and communicate with your flatmates.
In general, we're seeking a roommate who treats us and the apartment with care, we know that taking care of trash and filling the dishwasher after you eat comes natural to you ;)
The flat is equipped quite well, with all the basic facilities, no need to bring kitchen equipment.
For various shared stuff like furniture (couch, table, chairs..) and equipment (washing machine, 2nd fridge, kitchen utensils) you'd have to pay €200 and for the bed to Louise.
Just send us a message with some basic info (who are you, any shared flat experiences or just what your favourite drink is..) or any questions you have, we'll be happy to have you visit the flat soon or host a video call.
