Hello everyone! My name is Alina, 23 years old, I'm from Kazahstan, I'm moving out of this WG (moving in with my partner) and I am searching for a replacement for me, since the owner was super nice to me and helped me a lot!
About the room:
We recently renovated it, painted the wall with nice fresh green color, so it felt really nice to spend time in this room, even though the room isn't too big, I had enough space to train yoga and dance in the room.
You will have in your room soft and cozy mattress (I slept good on it), almost new wardrobe from IKEA, and little cute cupboard for your stuff. I was sleeping on a bed, but unfortunately there won't be bed when you will move in (so you either need to buy/bring your own, or wait until owner will buy it for you) and also there should be chair and a table in the basement if you want. (I am not sure if it's still there you would need to check it with owner, I didn't need it)
If you will need anything from the furniture, there is a big chance that the owner will buy it, since he likes to invest in his flat, but currently due to pandemic, he has a bit of a crisis, so don't expect that he immediately can buy something.
In addition in the flat there is a washing machine, big fridge, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, so basically everything you need for comfortable living. The decoration of the flat is more for artistic liberal hippie people, also a bit esoteric, so people who are into artistism, hippie and who are leftish, are most welcome!
Also there is a nice balcony and a lot of plants in the flat, so it's never dry and the air is good.
Also the flat is not so big, but you still have a feeling of privacy, since the room is isolated good enough.
The flat is really close to the underground U3 - hütteldorfer straße, and the underground in Vienna is so well connected that you can easily reach any place in short period of time.
Nearby there are a lot of supermarkets and tiny shops where you can find anything you want, Fitinn gym is also really close, but what I liked most about the location is the amount of green area nearby: there are several tiny cute parks where it's super cool to have a walk or run, also Schönbrunn is not so far (God, I love this park, the most beautiful place in Vienna!) and in a 40 minutes walk you can reach hills and you already have a feeling like you are outside of the city, even if you aren't.
So from one side, the center of Vienna is reachable with public transportation in 20 mins, from another side, you can literally go hiking whenever you want and it's not so far!!
Also there are not so many cars on the Schanzstrasse, so car noises won't bother you so much.
Your flatmate will be the owner of the flat itself. When I just moved to Vienna I had problems with money and navigation in the city and he really helped me a lot and gave me the feeling of having a home! His name is Reinhard, and in a short period of time he became my best friend here, despite the fact that he is older than me, he thinks really progressively and has more in common with young people. I don't speak German yet and he helped me a lot to survive in the foreign country, his English is perfect and he knows a lot about things around.
We dealed that he will cook (His cooking is really AWESOME, it's a perfect mixture of healthy food and tasty food), he knows how to cook vegan food , so vegans are welcome. And I was cleaning the flat once per week in return. But you can arrange as you wish, he is a really open-minded person and welcome new ideas.
We were also sharing the cost of the products and buying it together, since he knew better where and what to buy.
He is a good musician and esoteric shaman, he helped me to heal my psychic and my headaches (he knows a lot about traditional medicine) and develop myself. Also he is very sensitive guy, sometimes even more like a sensitive woman, very gentle, always respects borders of other people, understanding and nice. We had really fun times in the quarantine, speaking about a lot of things and were never bored and tired of each other, since he is not so conflicted person.
He is searching for a person who would appreciate all of that, the price is basically just a running cost, but it is more that he wants to SHARE his property, his life, he wants to find a person with whom he could share dinner sometimes and have a nice conversation, support each other in this difficult times. He wants to not be just strangers living together, but friends, to continue this loving warm atmosphere in the flat.
He is feminist, lgbt friendly, leftish and very artistic and has a lot of artistic friends, hippies. You can see it from his favourite festivals (burning man) and pictures gifted from his friends.
He was also okay with my friends coming by, he is really good with people.
