Das freie Zimmer in unserer bunten Zweier-WG ist schon mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt: ein gemütliches Doppelbett, Schreibtisch, ein großer Schrank und ein kleiner Dschungel an Pflanzen, die das Flair komplettieren. Außerdem befindet sich darin ein Lesesessel, ein Ganzkörperspiegel und Vorhänge, die es beim Schlafen schön dunkel machen.
Insgesamt lässt sich die Wohnung als durchaus geräumig bezeichnen. Im zweiten Stock wohnt es sich relativ erhaben und weil das Haus in einer Nebenstraße steht, ist es auch meistens recht leise. Besonders genießen wir die Nachmittagssonne in der Wohnküche. Das Sofa ist ein richtiges "Katzenplatzerl", weil sich's dort so gut in der Sonne chillen lässt.
Neben Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine gibt es noch unseren Staubsaugerroboter Mr. Johnson, den wir als Helferlein nicht missen möchten.
Das Zimmer wird übrigens frei, weil es Elisabeth, die dort sonst wohnt, für einige Monate nach Südamerika verschlägt.

The available room in our colorful shared apartment is fully furnished: a cozy double bed, desk, a large closet and a small jungle of house plants. In addition, there is a reading chair, a full-length mirror and blackout curtains.
Our apartment is situated in the second floor and because the house is on a side street, the surroundings are rather quiet. We particularly enjoy the afternoon sun in the living room. Our couch has been dubbed "cat spot" as we love to relax in the sun there.
In addition to a dishwasher and washing machine, our vacuum cleaning robot called Mr. Johnson is a beloved helper in this household.
Die WG liegt in Fußnähe von Yppenplatz und Brunnenmarkt. Dort gibt es nette Cafés, Restaurants und Bars, Tischtennistische und den leiwandsten Augustin-Verkäufer von Wien. Am Samstag ist Bauernmarkt, da gehen wir eigentlich viel zu selten hin.. Zur Hauptuni sind es mit dem Fahrrad etwa 10 Minuten, zur BOKU 15. Das Sportzentrum Marswiese erreichst du radelnd in guten 20 Minuten. Supermärkte in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt's sowieso, Öffis haben wir folgende zu bieten: Straßenbahnlinien 2, 43, 44, und U6 Josefstädter oder Alser Straße.
Das tollste an der Lage ist aber eigentlich, dass es oft nach Schokokuchen riecht, weil die Manner-Fabrik gleich in der Nähe ist! Und ein Eisgeschäft befindet sich ums Eck, das hat uns schon den einen oder anderen Sommertag versüßt.

The apartment is within walking distance of Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt. You'll find nice cafes, restaurants and bars there, as well as table tennis spots. The area has a pretty laid-back atmosphere. By bike, it's about 10 minutes to reach Vienna University and about 15 to BOKU. There are plenty of grocery stores in the vicinity of course.. Concerning public transport, we're near tram lines 2, 43, 44, and metro stations U6 Josefstädter or Alser Straße.
The best thing about the location tough: It often smells like chocolate cake outside because the Manner factory is close by! And an ice cream shop is around the corner, which has added a sweet touch to countless summer days for us.
Du würdest mit mir, Nina, zusammenwohnen. Ich habe die letzten drei Jahre in einer Agentur und einem Start-up im Online Marketing gearbeitet und bin gerade auf der Suche nach einem neuen Job, der sinnstiftender für mich ist. Am liebsten verbringe ich meine Zeit mit Klettern am Felsen und in der Halle. Generell bin ich gern draußen und durchaus abenteuerlustig, kann aber auch ganz gut mal auf der faulen Haut (=Katzenplatzerl am Sofa) liegen. Ich interessiere mich für Film, Comics, Performances.. je schräger, desto besser. Irgendwann mache ich bei einer Drag Show mit!
Ja und ohne liebe Menschen wär’s ziemlich fad.. in der WG gibt es immer wieder Spieleabende oder Essen mit Freund*innen. Umarmungen, Lachanfälle, Gespräche mit Aha-Erlebnis gern gesehen.
Ich ernähre mich vegetarisch, es ist mir aber relativ wurscht, ob du Fleisch isst. Nur wenn du jeden Tag einen Schweinsbraten zubereiten möchtest, kommen wir vielleicht nicht so gut zusammen.
Mir ist wichtig, dass wir gemeinsam Verantwortung für den Zustand der Wohnung übernehmen und uns Aufgaben wie Putzen, Glasflaschen wegbringen etc. teilen. Ich wünsche mir ein Zusammenleben, wo wir respektvoll und aufmerksam miteinander umgehen. Außerdem ist mir wichtig, dass wir Dinge offen ansprechen können, damit es sich so Wohnen lässt, wie wir uns beide wohl fühlen.

You would share the apartment with me, Nina. I have worked in online marketing for the past three years and I‘m currently looking for a new job that is more meaningful to me. I’d say I’m rather outdoorsy and adventurous – I love rock climbing. I'm also interested in film, comics, performances... the weirder the better.
Yes, and without other amazing beings life would be pretty bland.. occasionally, game nights or dinners with friends will take place at the WG.
I'm a vegetarian, but I don't really care if you eat meat. Only if you want to prepare a pork roast every day, we might not get along so well.
It is important to me that we jointly take responsibility for the condition of the apartment and share tasks such as cleaning, taking away glass bottles, etc. It's also important to me that we can address issues openly and respectfully to create a space where we both feel comfortable.
