Hello!
My room in the 9th district is open starting in mid-February (I leave around the 14th). The flat houses four people overall (at the moment, Piet, Christina, Sarah aka Chichi, and myself).
It's a great location: right next to the Kanal, very near to the first district, a block from multiple supermarkets, and within a 3-5 minute walk of three U-Bahn stations (Schottentor, Schottenring, Roßauer Lände).
The room itself is about 11 square meters and has high ceilings.
The rent is also affordable: 297,50 euro per month.
By the way, I'm writing in English because I'm American, but all the other flatmates are native German speakers!

PS - The deposit amount (1180 euro) includes: 1) the deposit itself, 2) the fee for our washing machine, and 3) the fee for our shared flat bank account (we use it to pay rent).
PPS- The 200 euro 'equipment cost' is for 1) the bed, 2) the desk with lamp, 3) the reading chair with footstool, 4) the office chair, 5) the bedside table, 6) the clothing rack, 7) the table fan, and 8) the piece of furniture holding books, clothes, etc.

~5 blocks from the ring and the 1st district
~10 blocks from the university
1 block from the D tram, a Billa, and a Spar Gourmet
Less than 5 minutes walking to Schottentor, Roßauer Lände, and Schottenring
