Since I am moving to another district, my room is now available for rent in a 2er apartment in 9th district of Vienna.
Room
Your room is at least 25msq and furnished with bed, wardrobes, rugs, desk, shelves, cupboards, table, L-shape sofa, and is to the front of the building on the top floor (so no footsteps above you!)
Location
The area is really nice. The Sobieski Square is around the corner with two bars/cafes, outside tables and a cute water well and benches make for a very chilled place to spend hot summer evenings in a vibrant atmosphere.
Travel
The closest ubahn stations are Wahringerstrasse and Nusdorferstrasse U6, and the Friedensbrücke U4 station is a 12 minute walk. The strassenbahn 37 and 38 are at the end of the street and take you to Schottentor in less than 10 mins. I really like the area and will miss it a lot!
Shops
There are the usual shops nearby – Billa, Bipa, Spar, Hofer, Pizzaman, cafes, pubs, and there are a couple of gyms too. I recommend Circle gym!
WG life
Christoph is a top guy! But as he is only in Vienna 3 evenings a week, you won’t see him very much. So, if you are looking for a very social wg, then this may not be for you. But if you want the feel of your own apartment without the cost, then this is the place! I have been here over three years and have really felt very comfortable here. Christoph is open to a chat and a beer of course, but most of the time you will have the apartment to yourself, and certainly every Friday to Monday. He is an IT professional working in Vienna and has a wife and three children in Lower Austria. He has the smaller room at the back of the building.
I am looking for someone to move in at the beginning of April, and as I had to pay an ablosse for the furniture, I would need you to pay a depreciated amount also, which would be 550 euros.
Regarding the kaution – I was not asked to pay one, and so it is possible that you may not be asked too. But on this I cannot comment.
Apartment
There are two bedrooms, a small kitchen, hallway, small dining area, bathroom with toilet and shower, washing machine/storage room. The kitchen is small, but I never had a problem with that. But if you are a culinary expert maybe you would need something bigger. The building is very nice and all the windows are double glazed. There is no lift, but it is only three floors :-)
Cost
The rent is 380euros warm, and so the only cost. Everything is included in this price. This is an absolute bargain!!! My friends were always jealous of this!
