Academic researcher with university contract searching for a long term contract

Hello! I am Lucas, and I am looking for a quiet and calm place an apartment for living alone which I expect to rent for a long term.

About me: I am academic researcher (PhD) and a digital artist. I am currently doing a second PhD remotely at a Portuguese university and following some personal projects related to media art and volunteer things. I travel often both for pleasure and for attending and lecturing in congresses or giving lessons. I speak just the very basics of German (I'm learning), but I have a facility and a great pleasure in learning languages: I speak Spanish, Italian, English and some Portuguese as well, so I am enthusiastic about the challenge of learning it. I love my books and artworks and I spend a lot of time in the most beautiful and peaceful silence reading, doing Yoga 🧘🏻, painting 👨🏻‍🎨, or simply doing my research and writing articles. I do a simple life and I’m not the kind of "party guy" (not at all). Let's say that I'm similar to a statue 😅. I'm joking, not that extreme, sometimes I listen to Metallica 🤘🏻 or a set of Solomun as well (I have good headphones though 🎧).

Why Berlin? I choose Berlin simply because I love the city. I have been here a couple of times and my overall experience was always good. I'm doing Berlin my home, and I'd like to feel that way with the place I'm going to live.

About my incomings, I have a contract with a Portuguese university for finishing the PhD, which is renewable up to four years. This gives me tranquility and a stable economy for such a period, although I had stable contracts for some years already. My goal living in Berlin is to get involved with a German university for doing research and perform some artistic exhibitions as well. I expect to sign a stronger research contract here within the next few years.

Sadly, I can't provide SCHUFA (solicitar ahora) since I am not registered in Germany yet (I arrived last 9th August).
