This is a large, fully-furnished penthouse apartment with high ceilings in Prenzlauer Berg. 5th floor German, 6th floor American. 110 steps, no elevator due to historical building restrictions.
The room being rented is a duplex room.

It is a quiet neighborhood yet only a five-minute walk from the U-Bahn, S-Bahn and tram stop at Schönhauser Allee.
No smoking, please.
We are both artists who have lived or are living abroad - one an American actor, the other a German musician. We lived in New York City for many years and are now enjoying the relatively smaller and slower comforts of Berlin. Ours is a spacious, quirky, funky apartment. If you like something a little different and idiosyncratic, this is the place for you. We will be visiting family and not here during your stay.
The immediate neighborhood has many restaurants of various ilks - Bavarian, Indian, Israeli, Georgian, Portuguese - cafes, bakeries (including a gluten free one) and grocery stores (Denns, Alnature, Rewe). The Schönhauser Allee Arcade is a five minute walk away. The nightlife of Kulturbrauerei is a short twenty minute walk away. Mauerpark is also nearby.
