Lovely "Altbau" apartment in Charlottenburg avl. immediately - VIEWING Saturday Sept. 26 at 3:30-4pm

We've just moved out of our beautiful 3-room Altbau apartment in Charlottenburg and are looking for a new renter from October 1.

The apartment has three lovely living/bed/work/music-rooms with high ornamented ceilings: a large central room with heringbone hardwood floors, and two smaller rooms with wood plank floors on either side. These are all at the front of the building, with windows facing Bismarckstrasse. Since one of the smaller rooms is only accessible from the living room, the apartment is suitable for at most a 2-person share, or one person or a couple.

On the other side of the hallway (with blue carpetting) are the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen (with linoleum floor) has a view on to the rear courtyard and includes built in cabinets and a convenient walk-in closet/pantry, large enough so that we've never actually had to use the basement compartment that also comes with the lease.

All the rooms were fixed up and painted about 1 year ago, before we moved in, and the bathroom is currently undergoing a complete renovation.

The quoted price does not include elecricity or heating - including these you should expect to pay about EUR 800 per month in total.

LOCATION:
The building is at the corner of Bismarckstrasse and Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse. It should be said that this is not the quietest intersection in Charlottenburg, as Bismarckstrasse is a rather large through-street -- on the other hand the lovely double windows keep the traffic noise out quite well. The location is in any case very convenient for transportation: 3 minutes on foot to the U-Bahn station Bismarckstrasse (U2/U7), 10 minutes to S-Bahn station Charlottenburg. You can also take the Bus 109 from right outside, which gets you to the S-Bahn in 3 minutes, or in the other direction, directly to Tegel Airport in 15 minutes.

In the immediate vicinity there are cafes, restaurants and many supermarkets (Lidl/Kaisers/Pennymarkt+Turkish+Asian+Russian), some of which stay open until 10pm on weekdays and Saturday. We should mention in particular the wonderful Russian supermarket at Bahnhof Charlottenburg, which is open every day 24 hours and sells a wider variety of dairy products than you'd ever know what to do with, not to mention Baltika 1-9.
