Old House in upscaled Jewish Quarter in the center of east berlin. Bright 3 room apartment of 76 m2 (you can use only two of them, i store my stuff in the erd room). Morning sun in the kitchen and bedroom. The apartment is situated on the second floor in the street side part of the building. 2 rooms have a great view on a small part of a little park in front of the house. It has a view on great modern architecture buildings and a very cosy small tarrace. The house is pure comfort. The bedroom has a large sized bed with tv and hifi set (iPod speaker). The living room has an enormous super cosy sofa wide screen TV and a choice over 1.800 dvds to watch. The kitchen is small but has everything. Large fridge, Oven, Kitchen Machines and Dish washer.(No microwave) A little kitchen table for 3-4 people. The bathroom has a Bath/Shower combination and Toilet. Small hall way for jackets and shoes. Because there are no houses directly on the other side of the street it gives a spacious feeling
The apartment is in the middle of the still growing high scale gallery area with lots of interesting restaurants, bars and art institutes. Very much comparable with nyc's Soho. 5 minutes walk to pretty touristy Hackescher Markt with its famous Höfe. 10 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz with the known high rising TV-tower. Its great to bike around town but for further trips theres public transport within 5 min walk, which takes you to all destinations of Berlin within 20-30 min. Its a perfect central location. In our street are: one of the cities best deli lunchroom, sushi bar, cocktail bar (fashion) designer stores and galleries. It's all there. The café/restaurant next door is one of artistic Berlin favorites. But still this street is one of the shortest and most quiet streets in the center. Very wanted street to live in. Berlin is a very laid-back city. You never have the feeling to be unsafe. It's probably the cheapest metropole of Europe. Cheap taxi fares and full meals for 5 euros.
