Spacious whole apartment in Rixdorf Neukölln

Rixdorf just ran it's 186th annual hay-bail rolling competition through the cobbled streets of Rixdorf.  186th annual competition!  That's some history right there!  That's older than, well, some really old stuff, and there's loads more things like that happening locally. Cobbled streets lead you to many great hangouts, ace local cafes and bars from the traditional to the cross over German Turkish places, to the hip and crazy.  Bakeries hidden behind closed shutters spring to life for a few hours a day. There's a nearby coffee refinery that wafts the gorgeous smell of freshly roasted coffee through the air on many mornings and late nights. Getting Around: Loads of public transport nearby.  Loads!. Well it's Berlin so you'll probably love to hire a bike and you can get bikes locally for a few euros per day.  We'll add some recommendations to the map for you to check out. We are less than 5 mins walk from main S & U Bahn station in Neukölln, which means that you can access the whole city easily form here with very little effort.   Buses are also close by. The (171) bus to and from schönefeld airport is only a 1 minute walk around the corner - so it's hassle free to get to the apartment, and back to the airport. We'll add these details onto our map for you. Oh, and street parking is free and available directly outside of the apartment block. Things to note: Like most apartment blocks in historical parts of Berlin our block of apartments was built prior to elevators. We're on the top floor (4th floor) but it's well worth the climb, and let's be honest, it'll help with the keep fit regime and it will probably add extra days to your lifespan*. (* extra days added to your lifespan cannot be guaranteed by the hosts and is stated here solely to try to get you to book the apartment)  :) 

The apartment has original wooden flooring throughout - we'd really appreciate it if you treated it kindly.  Also our neighbours below would appreciate it if you could park your shoes inside the front door when you get in so that it's not too noisy for them as you wander around.  We're lucky to have the top floor as there's no-one wandering around above us or on the stairwell to make any noise. No smoking inside the apartment please - fine to smoke out on balcony. ta :)
