• Size: 2-pièce apartment (1-bedroom) with traditional French style ‘stucco’ etc, 36 square meters – the rooms are all separate, no walk-through rooms
• Location: 2nd floor, but the building is located on the courtyard so it's pretty quiet
• Storage: The flat comes with ‘a cave’ (basement) so there is enough space for storing a bike or other stuff
• Rent is about 950€ per month (“charges compris”), excluding bills (gaz, electricity, internet etc)
• It's not furnished standard-wise, but my new place is furnished, so I would like to sell everything on - the idea is to agree on a fixed price for everything (before submitting the application to the landlord)
- everything is there a big flat screen TV (80 cm), fridge, oven, microwave, washing machine incl. dryer, a double bed, a fold-out couch, tables, chairs, some cupboards - I am looking to sell everything for around 1.650€, price negotiable - so you can move in straight away
• Documents needed: Standard ‘dossier’ (FYI - ID, 3 last payslips, employment contract in French (ideally), confirmation of employment (attestation d'employeur), certificate for tax purposes for the last 2 years, RIB – French bank account mandatory!!!)
• Address: Rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine, 75011 Paris –
the flat is located at the end of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine towards Nation, it’s a 5 min walk to Metro ‘Nation’
• Public transport – the closest metro stops are:
o Nation - Line 1, 2, 6, 9 and RER A
o Rue de Boulet - Line 9,
o Rueilly Diderot and Faidherbe-Chaligny - Line 8
The area:
The 11th arrondisment is definitely more laid back then some other boroughs of Paris :) - FYI, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine marks the border between the 11th and 12th arrondisment
The apartment is about a 10-15 min walk from Bastille, so no need for a cab after a night out....same with Oberkampf which can be reached in 20 min walking or 5 mins by metro ;)
République/ Canal Saint-Martin are just around the corner (15 min total via metro)
For nature enthusiast or jogger – Bois de Vincennes is just 12 min away by metro (line 8 – Porte Dorée) or a short bike ride
If you have friends over:
It’s easy to get to the Eiffel tower, just take line 8 until ‘Ecole Militaire’ – 30 mins total ‘door-to-door’
Good connection to Disney Land via RER A from Nation – 34 mins
