Hallo zusammen,

Hi everyone,
What was originally meant to be just a few months turned into two years – but now the time has come for my lovely flatmate to move out, and I’m looking for someone new to sublet her room.
The room is beautifully bright, furnished and available from around November 1st.
As I'm currently unable to make long-term plans myself, the duration of the sublet is a little uncertain. At the moment, I expect the room to be available for around a year, although it could be shorter or longer. I'm happy to offer an open-ended sublease, but I want to be upfront that this probably won't be a permanent living arrangement.
The room is around 16 m2 and has a huge window front as well as a door leading directly onto your private terrace and our garden. It comes furnished with a 140 × 200 cm bed, a 1.5 m PAX wardrobe, a desk and blackout curtains. So the basics are all there, while there’s still plenty of space to make the room your own if you’d like.
The apartment also has a bathroom with a bathtub, a window and a washer-dryer, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. There’s also a small seating area in the kitchen – perfect for having a chat. And, of course, there’s my room as well.
The apartment really is a little gem – I still feel very lucky to have gotten it. :) But I want to be honest, there are two small downsides: The room faces the stairwell, so you probably shouldn’t be the lightest sleeper. ;)
Also, there’s very little storage space, as we don’t have a basement and the storage room is already full.

The apartment ist located right next to the Osterstraße underground station, in the middle of the beautiful, lively district of Eimsbüttel, and yet the backyard location means you're away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In our garden, you can hear the kindergarten next door, birds twittering and the wind in the trees. Everything your heart desires is right in the neighbourhood, Edeka, Penny and Aldi, drugstores, bakeries, bars, and restaurants, all within 2 minutes.

For me, home is primarily a place to feel comfortable, unwind and have some space to myself. That’s why it’s important to me that we have a similar idea of what living together should feel like.
I really like it when you don’t completely live alongside each other, but occasionally meet in the kitchen or garden for a coffee, an evening drink or just a little chat. Anything beyond that can naturally develop over time, but there’s absolutely no expectation to spend lots of time together. I also really enjoy retreating to the sofa with the door closed and having some time to myself.
Since the apartment is fairly small and also quite sound-sensitive, I’m looking for someone who generally enjoys a quieter home — so no frequent visitors or particularly loud hobbies. Being considerate of each other is very important to me and, for me, simply part of living together.
I really value a warm and harmonious atmosphere at home. For me, that also means being able to communicate openly and easily if something ever comes up.
And something that should go without saying: cleanliness and tidiness shouldn’t have to become a recurring topic, but should simply work naturally. So far, taking turns with a weekly cleaning routine has worked really well for us. ;)

Please send me a personal, self-written message. I won’t respond to generic AI-generated texts — I’d really appreciate it if you read my full listing and wrote a few personal lines about yourself. :)
Please only get in touch if the following applies to you:
--> You’re looking to move in around November 1 (plus/minus a few days). Please let me know when you’re looking to move in and for how long. I’m flexible regarding the duration — both a temporary and an open-ended sublet are possible.
--> Please tell me briefly who you are, what you’re doing in Hamburg, why you’re looking for a room and what is important to you when sharing a flat.
--> You’re employed and spend most of your working time in an office or elsewhere outside the apartment.
--> You have personal liability insurance, or will take one out before moving in at the latest.
Once we have the landlord’s approval, we would sign a sublease agreement with a monthly rent of €800. The security deposit would also be €800.
