The apartment is on the second floor of an old building only accessible by stairs. There is a communal garden where you can park your bike. The neighbourhood is quiet and sound from the street is well insulated by the double-glazed windows. The apartment consists of two bedrooms (mine and my flatmate), a bathroom and kitchen.
The apartment has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, fridge and freezer, a kettle and toaster. The kitchen is furnished, and we have a Moka Pot for coffee. In the bathroom, you have access to a shower, toilet and small sink. In the corridor, you will have storage for your shoes and hangers for your coats.
The room you will be staying in is fully furnished with high ceiling, tall windows and a balcony with view on the canal. I can also provide bedsheets and towels. You will have some storage space in the wardrobe for your clothes and any other objects. Please mind that I will have to leave some of my belongings in the room but will try my best to give you sufficient space for your belongings. You will be sharing the space with my flatmate Margherita.
The apartment is right next to the canal perpendicular to Sonnenallee, a 15min walk to the U7 (Rathaus Neuköln) and a 2min walk to the nearest bus stop which can bring you to Ostkreuz in 15min.
You will be walking distance from some lovely cafes and bar (welcome to the village) and can always enjoy a stroll along the canal.
They are several supermarkets nearby (Nahkauf, Lidl, Edeka and Netto). You also have the Maybachufer market on Tuesdays and Fridays which is a 20min walk away from the apartment.
If you love hanging out in cafes, this really is going to satisfy your desire and there is also the WOLF kino, 5min walk away if you enjoy independent cinema. For music lovers, Neukölln is full of music bars hosting wonderful events and open mics throughout the week. You can access them all by walking a maximum of 20min. There is no doubt you will be able to find something to do during your visit.
Hey, my name is Inès (they/them) and I’m a musician from Belgian. I often travel for concerts or to see family and therefore have my lovely room in Neukölln available in August.
You will be sharing the apartment with my flatmate Marghe. Marghe (she/her) is from Italy, is an architect and loves to go bouldering, yoga, drawing and doing embroidery. She is friendly, always open for a chat and loves spending time with friends. She is often out of the house but also loves to spend cosy evenings in. She would be happy to help if you need any recommendations for the city.
We often like to hang out in the kitchen and discuss while having food. As we both have different schedules, it happens that we sometimes don’t see each other every day. We like to have our evenings to ourselves, keep the apartment tidy and respect each other’s privacy.
I’m looking for someone who is tidy, quiet and would need the room mostly as a stay in whilst they visit Berlin or are here for work. Preferably, you have an interest in a couple of those topics (sports (bouldering, running, cycling, yoga, pilates), art, drawing, music, travelling, films, feminism, LGBTQ+, reading). You will have the possibility to use the kitchen table as a desk if needed. Everything is furnished and Wi-Fi is available.
Ideally, it would be great to meet in person before the renting periods starts. I’m also happy to accommodate a video call if you are out of Berlin. It would be great to hear how you fit into the dynamic of the apartment and what you are looking for in this rental period. We are not interested in couples.
I would like to find someone who is interested in renting the room for the entirety of the renting period. Also, preferably someone who is fluent or a confident English speaker (English is the main language we speak in the apartment).
