Search for a quiet, interesting room in a historic building near public transportation

Hello all, I am searching for a quiet, beautiful flatshare (or a 1 room flat), preferrably in a historic building in the districts mentioned below. Originally from a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, I am currently a graduate student in history at Northwestern University (Chicago) on a temporary leave of absence, and interested in using this break to further develop my German. My German level is currently around B2.2 and I plan to take a C1.1 course with Deutsche Akademie at the Wittenbergplatz. Although I have lived previously in Germany (in a WG in Mainz) I have never lived in Berlin before (I spent a few days there and loved it), and I look forward to exploring the city's residents, culture, and history. I would say I am quiet, friendly, curious, and unconventional, and have much previous experience with WG situations. Thank you for your time and I look forward to receiving your offers!
