Our flat is big and sunny and in the middle of Kreuzberg. We live here since a long time, which is easy to spot, because of all the personal stuff and the flat’s DIY-charme: the flat is only partly refurbished, all walls are plastered but not all are painted. All the furniture and things are inherited, from flea markets, presents or brought back from traveling. They mean a lot to us, even when they don’t look like anything special. The floors are wooden, the doors and windows are original (apart from the kitchen window). We have two balconies, a guest toilet, a shower bath with toilet, a big living room (40 qm) and three bedroom. Besides there is a kitchen with everything you might need and even more, f.ex. a coffee machine and a plate grill. On the other hand the fridge is pretty small, the freezer even smaller. The bathroom is ok, nothing to show off with, but everything functions well. We also have a washing machine and a 6 m long clothesline in the ›big room‹. The ›big room‹ is very big and has a balcony. Sometimes we smoke on the balcony, mostly though in the kitchen, though we really try not to puff away the whole apartment. In the big room is space for even more people to sleep, when they don’t mind it being a walk-through-room.
In one of the bedrooms is a double bed, in the two other rooms single beds / sofas on whch one can sleep very comfy. One of the rooms I did not photograph because my flatmate wasn’t in. All in all four people can sleep here easily, if two of them like to share a bed.
Besides the two balconies and the ›big room‹ you find everything in the flat you need for your everyday live: pots, plates, knives, hairdryer, vacuum, W-Lan, … only we don’t have a tv or a dishwasher.

The flat is located in Kreuzberg between Landwehrkanal and Görlitzerpark. Everything you could possibly need is in walking distance: bars, cafes, the market at the canal, turkish and arabic food stores at Kottbusser Damm, the cinema Movimento, the african eatery Senegambia, Imren – a turkish place, Nachtigall – a lebanese place, besides there is sudanese, mexican food and much more. In the yard next door is a boulder hall above a supermarket, which is next to a beverage store. Downstairs in the house itself is a kiosk and a hairdresser. There is a a coffee-bar in the house next door, next to that a proper student bar, next to that a record shop, next to that a flower shop and so on. If you go the other direction you find a laundrette, on the opposite side of the street a book shop and one of the oldest bars in Kreuzberg with untouched original 20s interior. Meuterei, an anarchist bar is around the corner, also you can find spanish Rockabilly-Pizza with a bar in the same street and of course, if you like, you can find very expensive and upscale places around here, too.
And then there is the rest of Berlin: To the tube station Görlitzer-Bahnhof (U1) and to the station Schönleinstraße (U8) it is only a view minutes walk. The U1 takes you to Westberlin in 15 Minutes and the U8 takes you to Mitte/Alexanderplatz in 15 minutes. The bus M29 also leaves from here.

Since we are traveling a neighbour who lives in the house will take care of explaining all details to you when you arrive. He is also there in case you have questions during your stay or any problems.
