A shared apartment: one room in a four-person flat with a shared kitchen, toilet, and bathroom. A laundry room and a backyard garden are available for everyone in the whole house to use.
- The subletting room is equipped with a double bed, a fixed wardrobe, a desk, and a chair. As you can see from the photos, it has a very beautiful view from the window.
- The laundry room is on the base ground, it has a washing machine, some drying equipment, and enough space for you to wash and dry your clothes.
- Our kitchen has a combined fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, an oven, and enough spoons, forks, bowls, and plates for you to use, and it's all free, you don't even need to pay any contributions.
Surroundings: There is a large Rewe and Aldi nearby, you can reach them in 6 minutes on foot, a gas station (2 minutes away), and a Cafè (4 minutes). Neuenheim Campus is also not far away, you can get to the Campus, the Mensa, and the Café in 5-10 minutes by walking.
Landlord: a quite busy but very generous German couple.
Rent: monthly rent is 600 Euro, no other additonal costs will be charged. Deposit €1200, which is two-month rent.
The rental period is actually quite flexible: starting from 2023.8.1 or 2023.8.15, the rental contract that you will sign with the landlord is for one year by default. However, you can sublet your room in the middle of your contract period, as well as ask for extending it after one year.
Something about the current tenants in this apartment
- An Indian girl: she is 27 and is currently working for a company.
- An Nepal guy: he is 30 and doing his PhD. in Heidelberg.
- An Iranian guy: he is 35 and also doing his PhD here.
They are all nice people to live with, they have a very good awareness of personal boundaries, which I think is a greatly important factor to ensure harmony in WG life.
Some information about myself: I am an exchange student and am leaving Heidelberg soon. The process goes like this: if you are interested in our apartment, you can leave me a message here, and I will invite you to visit our flat in person, if you prefer to have a virtual room tour, that's not a problem at all. Finally, if you decide to take the room and move in, the landlord with be happy to meet and sign the contract with you, as well as explain everything you need to know.
Address: Humboldtstraße 30, 69120 Heidelberg.
You can get to the Mathematics Department building in 3 minutes on foot; it takes two-minute walk to the bus stop 31, which takes you directly to Bismarckplatz and Universitätsplatz in 20 minutes; two-minute walk to the tram stop 24, by which you can reach the central railway station in 10 minutes.
Please leave me a message if you want to know more information or make an appointment to visit the apartment.
