The perfect apartment for couples or single renters: few places in Leipzig have a nicer disposition of rooms and feel so spacious, given the size. The living room is very comfortable, over 25 square meters, and has hosted more than 15 people already. The kitchen is tiny, but this makes it feel comfy, rather than cramped, so that everything you need to cook is at your reach. It is connected to the living room and creates an enjoyable continuous space. The bedroom is spacious, with room for more than a bed and a wardrobe. In the bathroom, a new shower has just been installed. The whole apartment is lit by the morning sun, so that it is very bright (but there are blinds in all the windows, so that you can sleep nicely in the dark until late). Underground, the apartment has a large cellar space that can be reached with the a very spacious elevator.
We will be leaving the kitchen and some of the bedroom furniture for the next tenant, as they were left for us. These include a perfectly fitted kitchen, complete of fridge, freezer, oven and stove, microwave and excellent washing machine (the advantage of having a fitted kitchen when moving to a new place cannot be remarked enough). In the bedroom, we leave a large, neat wardrobe and we are happy to discuss the transfer of some other items, such as the bed or balcony furniture. We also refitted the toilet, installing a new mirror and wooden shelves, which, to our opinion make it look rather nice. We ask 1500, non-negotiable, for kitchen and wardrobe, the rest can be discussed.
Schleussig is one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Leipzig. It is very international, given the presence of the International school (which is one block away from the apartment), but incredibly safe and quiet. The park is literally behind the corner and right in front of the balcony, with it's many paths to run, cycle or simply connect to the rest of the city through green routes. Right outside of the entrance of the building, there are a decent sized supermarket, a pharmacy, a flower shops, two banks and a bakery (for Sunday fresh bread). Other shops and restaurants are disseminated around the block: Syrian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Italian, wine shops... Finally, the public transport is really in front of the door, with direct lines to the train station (1) the city center (2) and the south of the city (74) (there is no noise, though, as the road is on the other side of the building from your windows).
We are leaving our lovely apartment for work reasons, and are looking for someone to take over our contract. Small changes in the rent are possible when signing a new contract, but these should be minimal and maintain the cost of rent to *very* good value for the next tenant. This lovely little gem of an apartment has been so good to us that I am honestly worried I won't be ever satisfied with a place again: I'll miss the open plan of the living room, the light in the morning, the smell of freshly baked bred from downstairs... I cannot recommend this place enough.
