With us, a room with just 12 m2 is released on May 1. The room has a window and a door to the communal balcony on the quieter south side. You can look into the Hausgasse or on the magnificent tree that just unfolds its crown there. The room has laminate floor in oak, is quite freshly painted and unfurnished. In total, we have five inhabited rooms, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, a toilet with a lawn and two covered balconies on the sunny side. The common WG life often takes place in the centrally located kitchen or the following balcony. Man blickt in die Häusergasse bzw. auf den prächtigen Baum, der dort gerade seine Krone entfaltet. Das Zimmer hat Laminatboden in Eiche, ist recht frisch gestrichen und unmöbliert. Insgesamt haben wir fünf bewohnte Zimmer, ein Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, eine Toilette mit Wiesenhimmel und zwei überdachte Balkone auf der Sonnenseite. Das gemeinsame WG-Leben findet häufig in der zentral gelegenen Küche oder dem anschließendem Balkon statt. Der Hauptzugang zum Balkon findet nicht über 'dein' Zimmer, sondern vor allem durch das Küchenfenster statt. Da sich das freie Zimmer hinter der Küche befindet, bekommst du unweigerlich auch von Aktivitäten in der Küche mit. Im Haus finden sich noch einige andere nette WGs und ein gemeinschaftlicher Fahrradkeller.

Allerbeste Lage! Unsere WG liegt im Viertel (Vor dem Steintor) und viele Kneipen, Cafés und kleine Lädchen sowie die Innenstadt lassen sich gemütlich erschlendern. Diverse Supermärkte (Netto, Alnatura, Rewe) sind in Sichtweite. Außerdem ist man in 5 Minuten am Osterdeich an der Weser. Unsere Wohnung ist gegenüber der Schauburg mit der Haltestelle Brunnenstraße. Die Straßenbahnlinien 2, 3 und 10 halten also quasi direkt vor der Haustür und mit dem Rad ist man sowieso ganz schnell überall.

Wir sind im Kern keine ganz neue Konstellation, aber haben aktuell etwas Veränderung durch zwei Zwischenmieter.

Wenn du einziehst, kannst du auch das WG-Leben mitgestalten. Es gibt einige Leute, die sehr beschäftigt sind, andere sind eher präsent. Alles in allem sind wir keine Kuschel-WG, aber wir leben alle gerne und bewusst in einer WG. Wir sind zwischen Anfang 20, Ende 20 oder auch Ende 30, teils studierend, teils promovierend, teils arbeitend.

Schließlich haben alle ihren eigenen Tages- und Wochenablauf, aber in der Küche oder auf dem Balkon kreuzen sich unsere Wege in der WG zum quatschen, abhängen und essen. Manche teilen sich gerne das Essen, manche essen auch gerne mal alleine. Manche sind sehr entspannt, wenn es um Sauberkeit geht, andere sind strenger bei der Krümelkontrolle. Ein allgemeiner Putzplan bringt die Gemeinschaftsflächen regelmäßig wieder zum Leuchten.

Die Wohnung gibt es schon seit langem als WG, einige Geräte sind alt, die Bäder sind renoviert und im Allgemeinen ist es gemütlich und einladend. Wir haben nicht alle von klein auf Deutsch gelernt und sprechen daher oft Englisch miteinander. Die Zimmer zur Straße hin können etwas laut sein, aber sie haben einen schönen Blick auf die belebte Steintorstraße mit dem Kino Schauburg, die Zimmer zu den Südbalkonen hin sind ruhiger.

When you move in you can shape the WG-life as well. There are some people that are pretty busy, some are more present. All in all, we are not a cuddle-WG, but we all chose and enjoy to live in a shared flat. We are between beginning 20s and end 30s, partly studying, partly doing a PhD, partly working.

Ultimately, everyone has their own daily and weekly routine, but in the kitchen or on the balcony our paths cross for chatting, hanging out and eating, at times with a suitable drink. Some people like to share food, some people like to eat alone sometimes. Some are very relaxed about cleanliness and others are more strict at breadcrumb control. We have a general cleaning routine that brings new shine to common spaces regularly.

The flat has being shared as a WG for a long time, some equipment is old, yet the bathrooms are renovated and the WG is cozy and welcoming overall.

We did not all learn German from an early age and therefore we often speak English with each other. The rooms that are on the street can be a bit loud, but they have a nice view to the busy Steintor street including the Schauburg movie theater. The rooms that are towards the balconies on the South side are more calm.

The room is free from the beginning of May. The rent is a warm rental and usually builds a small buffer for any repayments, purchases or occasional withdrawals. Internet and telephone as well as the broadcasting fee are of course included and we cover eco-current.
